Everyone in the shop went above and beyond to help us at Christmas despite the fact the shop was unbelievably busy, the products are second to none could not recommend highly enough, thank you all and we will be regular shoppers

Apart from the great quality and variety of meats, their sandwiches/rolls are an absolute must-try!

Asked for 2 pieces of sirloin but got 2 pieces of sinew-loin. Had to cut off half the steak to get something edible.

An amazing selection of meats with incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. I can see why they have such loyal customers. Unmissable for foodies.

One thing i hate about now living back on the Gold Coast. No Gary's meats up here!
Whenever we are back in Melbourne we grab a 10ld dry aged rib roast of beef. It is far superior in flavor then any other butchers meat.

I normally like Gary’s meats…just wondering what is up with their sausages? Minute I put them on the bbq and they burst! I had sausages from another very good butcher on Malvern Road no problem! Very annoying!

Have been purchasing their meat for the past 2 and half years. They sell the best meat in town and their service is great too. You won’t be disappointed!

No words do justice to their product. Went in today for steak and their staff member was really friendly. She gave me some options and when I mentioned I hadn’t had dried meat before, she said I should go for it. Got a scotch fillet and a sirloin and have no words. It was amazing… I’ve been to top 50 world restaurants but this was incredible. Definitely going back

Amazing products and awesome service. Went in on Saturday and the power had gone out in the whole market, but to their credit they had the mobile phone lights out for customers to see easier. Picked up a Cape Grim MB4+ scotch & sirloin which were incredible, plus 4 different sausages which were too hard to pick a winner from as they were all perfect. The wife and I will be back real soon! Thanks to the lady that served us!

I have been shopping off Gary for years now and he has never failed to impress! The service is always fantastic and there are so many options! Myself, I love the Salt Bush Lamb Rack (Gary frequently does it as a crown roast for me) and any of the Aged beef it really is just that much better than regular beef!

Went to Gary’s for the first time and we’ll be back! Beautiful beef fillet for our steak tartare, and it was perfectly prepared making things super easy for us! The shop is friendly, clean and filled with so many delicious things we can’t wait to try:)

Was reading the reviews and the one by Lyn Rochow made me laugh.clearly born yesterday. If you are buying a cut of meat, don't expect a butcher to just cut bits off and sell you the remaining part. Do you wander into supermarkets and tear open a packet of donuts and ask to be only charged for the donuts in your mouth? LOL.

Simply the best in Melbourne. I've been getting meat here since I was young with my parents - dry aged to perfection. Don't go past Gary's! Thank you for all your service and recommendations over the years. In general I love the area and it's nice to go out and have "fun" getting the "groceries".

Brought the Easy Carve lamb without bone, asked for the Shank to be taken off. Was told no worries but still got weighed and charged for lamb shank but didn’t receive shank. Went back to get shank gave me dog bones instead. Unbelievable I can do without dishonest people. Didn’t care about customer service. Will go to get meat from Peter Bouchier in Malvern Rd from now on.

The meat looks very fresh, the staff are friendly and they offer some unique cuts that are hard to find anywhere else. Also try the sausages. Highly recommended

Great service and great meat always at Gary's. Got a pork loin for Christmas with all sorts of fiddly things needed for cooking. Gary had me explain what needed to be done and did it all himself (loin trussed up with string, skin cut off and scored, pocket cut into it). Saved me 20-30 minutes and there was no way I could have done it better anyway.

The absolute mecca of beef in Melbourne. The huge selection of dry aged and incredible wagyu is simply unbeatable. The more than fair pricing makes it that much better. Thanks Gary!

Cannot recommend highly enough. Nothing is to hard for the staff, super accommodating. The range of meat, especially steaks, dry aged products and salt bush lamb is second to nothing. Best butcher in Melbourne.
