The staff here were extremely pleasant. The food was fresh & tasty. Will certainly return next time I'm in the area.

Caramel tart was lovely but plain beef pie was too peppery. Booth setting was very narrow and hard to get in and out of.

Lovely fresh cakes and slices - amazing selection, prices moderate, but you get quality for what you pay for. Highly recommend the citrus tart and the smiley face cookies for kids. A lot of work and care gone into their selection of cakes. And I love the sign at the counter about phones - so true.
Will be back when next in Bendigo!

I loveee Garlands. Their coffee is amazing and their pastries are beautiful. Prices are actually reasonable for what you’re getting cuz everything is so good Ann is also so friendly and makes beautifullll coffee every time. It‘s a must to visit Garlands if you’re passing through Bendigo!

Once was great, now an absolute ripoff. This was a fabulous bakery, good old-fashioned wonderful pies, quiches, sausage rolls and a good variety of cakes and slice as well as fresh rolls and sandwiches. The prices are now sky high and the size of the slices, lamingtons etc is tiny. Unless you are rich avoid.

I have been here on numerous occasions, and whether I buy a pastie or pie or sausage roll they are always fresh and tasty and the great thing is the food doesn't make you feel ill half an hour after you've eaten it.

Food is quite good - tables inside are for skinny people to sit at - definately designed by a comittee!

Food is good, staff ok, pricing is different everytime depending on who serves you but ranges from expensive to to a blatant rip off

Travelling through Kangaroo Flat on the 3rd Feb, my husband and I ate here. He had sausage roll and pie which he said was nice. That is the two stars. Minus stars for me. I ordered a tray of 6 points mixed sandwiches. Unfortunately on this occasion the turkey sandwich meat was off.
I took the sandwich back to the girl who made them. She just scrapped it into the bin, no offer to give me a different sandwich with fresh meat. Council inspectors should visit this establishments sandwich making facility. Disgusting to serve people meat well past it use by date. I won’t be returning.

They make square pies - easy to hold and eat - yum. It's and family run, friendly service and old feel bakery with the usual selection of classics - plenty of seating inside and can even enter via the back door

My autistic son loves his cheese and bacon sausage rolls every Tuesday from here, the staff are always lovely, food is delicious and it’s always cleaned well.

Fantastic service, after many phone calls and running all over town looking for a particular cake and been told "cant be done, I walked into Garlands and the lady who served me (sorry, didn't get her name) said "yes", straight away, went and got the tin she thought would suit (which it was). Ordered and paid for cake (pick up next week) and left smiling. So nice to still find customer service, very rare. Thankyou!

I always enjoy my afternoon coffee and cake here, especially because they don't hurry you out of the place when you are having a good chat with friends

Bakery is good 4 a quick cuppa and sit in between shopping needs to be kept a little cleaner at times

While we enjoy the food here we always feels rushed when we are ordering its like you only have so many seconds to order.it is definitely not a relaxed atmosphere.

The range of speciality cakes and slices is worth a drive from Geelong.
I bought 20 date rolls 2 strawberry tartlets and 2 peach tartlets. Yum.
I have been buying cakes there for 12 years.
