Gargarro Botanic Gardens

The food is amazing! Joel and Leon make you feel very welcome. Staff are lovely! Highly highly recommend!

A surprise find in this tiny rural hamlet.
A lot of thought, planning, and effort has gone into the design, construction, and planting. I look forward to seeing it evolve over time.

Perhaps because I was expecting the epic vastness of a completed botanical gardens I was slightly disappointed by Gargarro.

There are beautiful open areas to enjoy a picnic, while listening to the sweet sound of frog and birdstone. There's also a few paths with winding wetland trails and an observation deck. But overall it's small. And sparse.

Obviously plants do take time grow and, at the moment though picturesque, it still feels very much a work in progress. It's still a nice place to come for a (very) short visit. But I wouldn't suggest going out of your way as there's little to see or do here.

Looks good now as a work in progress, will look great in about five years as they continue to plant out and develop the site, unfortunately the cafe was closed when we visited.

This is a fantastic area, a real credit to the community and the people who are looking after it.

Well, worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Garden currently in its infancy so isn't much to see. Give it a couple of years to develop

Lovely spot close to all shops within 25kms.tank water for drinking and showers and toilets that are very clean.
