Today was the first time I’ve played Gardiners Run.
Nice layout with wide fairways but not very challenging.
The greens were coated with a thick layer of sand and with morning dew almost unplayable.
There was so much sand on the greens, the flag sticks were jammed in the cups and more often than not could’nt be removed without pulling the cup complete with flag, out of the green. Often you were putting through footprints, anything could happen. Very disappointing.
The bunkers were not groomed and the sand was in most cases wet and hard.
The greens and the bunkers really detracted from the course.
Probably won’t play there again
