Gardiners Creek Reserve reviews
51Wide useful track linking Burwood to Box Hill and Burwood to City in opposite directions. I bike and it saves 110m + /- in elevations on roads Burwood to box hill as follows creek but has zero personality, zero fun bits and zero standout features l. It's the same from start to finish pretty much. Utilitarian if nothing else.
Really nice bike riding paths, the trees are great and we heard many frogs in the water ponds
Beautifully spruced up and restored; though Deakin seems to be "encroaching" into her borders. Remember an earlier time when there were ducks in the creek.
Most cleanest and surrounded by trees in Burwood area!
Very relaxingwalking trail and with beautiful scenery
Love the walking trail however the cyclists should take more care about the others

We used the walking trail today for the first time after 8pm.
It would be great if sensor lights could be installed. Not sure if the night lights will make an impact on the animals though
Beautiful walk around Gardiner's Creek. Picnic and BBQ places and benches along the path for a sit and reflect. Great for off leash dogs but be aware cyclists share this path

Perfect place to go on walks (alone or with your dog) and enjoy nature. Beautiful and peaceful. I love it when you can see cute little ducklings around
Several kms of walking or running trails along both sides of the creek. Young kids can also enjoy the space and ride bikes around safely.
Connects through to other bike paths although their are major roads to cross.
It certainly looks an amazingly cultured place today. Vastly different from my memories playing in the creek and surrounds in 1950s. Then it was more like wild bush with a fair (unfair) amount of trash discarded in the then unwanted wasteland. This was particularly where the creek went beneath Summerhill Road in Hartwell. Oh the serenity!
Sorry to say no pictures of that time but all a part of my childhood.
Great spot for dogs to run around with lot's of different tracks to take. Can get a bit muddy in some areas when it's been raining consecutively. Just means you take a different path.
One of my favourite parks/reserves. Very attractively laid out with an emphasis on Australiana. It is good any time of the year but Spring is even more so as a variety of wild flowers are in bloom then. Lovely creek. Nearest picnic toilet however is at Hungry Jack's. There are 2 public bbq areas with water taps and bins nearby near the creek on the Deakin University side of the creek trail. There is a beautifully constructed steel and glass bridge that connects both sides of the Deakin campus which offers a lovely tree top view of the parkland. The local council has done a really good job with additional seats and excellent maintenance of the area. A real joy to walk here. This is also a dog off leash area so you have to share the spaces with often times very wet pooches.
Lush parkland surrounded by nice creeks and walking tracks. Large scattered tracts with greenery and bbq picnic
Great park and beautiful nature! But there is always races here on a Saturday morning which is a bit annoying when you’re trying to walk your dog,
I recommend coming here after 10 on a Saturday otherwise the paths are super busy
It's a lovely place with ample of trees and dog off leash areas for a walk. Upside, it has sufficient benches for a picnic and we'll maintained grass areas. On downside, no toilets access and bins are comparatively less. Water fountains are available at certain intervals so carrying drinking water for humans and dogs is less of worry.
Beautiful reserve but not too many carpark spaces. Surrounding areas only 30 minutes parking. Go early or don't bother
Great open offleash trail for the dogs to run, but the water in the creek and swale generally are pretty murky / muddy.
But it has quickly turned into my dog's favourite place for a run & swim.
There's also a nearby dog friendly shopping centre (Burwood Brickworks) to grab a bite / coffee / drink afterwards. About 5 mins drive away.
What a great place for a walk and a picnic! Benches and picnic tables are well kept. When walking around Gardiner’s Creek you could almost believe that you are out in the country. It is so peaceful.
Great off leash park, good distance, open areas and natural variations, including some bush and rocky areas within the creek. Toilet facilities would be a great addition, especially given the additional availability of wonderful bbq and playground equipment.
Really beautiful place to go with your family, kids or friends. Great walking, running and cycling trail. If you're a dog owner or a lover, this is one of the places you should go to see those happy faces. There is ample spots around to park your vehicles. Highly recommend this reserve.
A nice place to walk and exercise your dog too. Its an off leash dog reserve and has couple of barbeque areas too, if you would to like to cook for your family.
