Gardens of Tieve Tara reviews
28Couldn't find the entrance, no signs on the street. Someone said it might be closed to the public, but it didn't make sense during autumn.
Beautiful gardens and lakes. Staff are friendly. Geese were not as friendly but did not attack. Large olay area for kids.
Beautiful place in Spring and Autumn when it's open. Lovely sections of gardens and trees with a great little space at the bottom just for kids with a playground, fairy garden and small activities.
Great selection of flowers and trees with a lawn overlooking the lake where you can see the geese and ducks. There are also some chickens that scratch around.
Great for couples, families and kids.
Note: there is no public toilet. Closest food is back down the street. Can BYO but take all rubbish with you.
Very serene, hidden gem of the Macedon ranges. Recently changed ownership so will be interesting to see what happens over the next few seasons.
Less commercialised and more homely gardens with cute ducks and chickens wandering around and lovely autumn foliage. I visited too late this year to catch the beautiful autumn colours but I can imagine it would be picturesque a few weeks ago. Still worth visiting though.
Beautiful place to spend some time in during autumn, would be a good place in spring or summer for a picnic but.in autumn.wow!
Nice they at least had a card payment option, as a lot of the time people just pass and all of a sudden decide to stop and look. Quite a small place. The European Aspens were lovely. There could be a more vast deciduous variety, it'll look amazing in autumn.
A visit here is simply an uplifting experience, especially in Spring when the wisteria is in full flight. Lucious, elegant and meticulously maintained, this stunning garden will transport you to an enchanted domain. A lovingly curated, ecclectic mix of gorgeous vistas intoxicate the senses and like a aged tokay, the floral delights linger deliciously. A must visit heavenly delight.
A very, very beautiful garden! Full of amazing plants, trees & flowers - incredibly green! An abundance of wildlife, including some cheeky geese? Can't wait to see it in the Autumn
Beautiful gardens, especially in spring.
While the gardens are large for a residential property, the price is still a little steep for the size. Would definitely be worth it though if you were going to picnic there, rather than just walk through.
Make sure to stop by the cockatoo, who will have a chat with you.
Nice environment to see all the greens and flowers, but the entry ticket is not worthy that much
Fabulous cool climate garden in the Macedon Ranges. It's incredible to see the work and love that has gone into the garden over many decades.
The lakes are particularly beautiful and if you can get there in spring for the wisteria, do it!
Great place to have a family gathering or weddings. Best to visit in Spring where you get to see lots of Greenery and Blooming flowers. Small lake and nice kids playing area. Also do not missing a talking parrot.
Beautiful gardens on rolling hills. Family friendly with lots of different areas for picnics and for the kids to run around and play. They even have kids play areas with swings, slides, Sandpit and toys. $10 entry is worth it as the gardens are well taken care of.
Great garden to either spend the day with family, indulge in a picnic or even just to take a few Kodak shots.
Beautiful garden and good collection of different trees. Amazing colours in autumn. Fun little activities and playground for kids, but also lots of older plastic toys littered around the grounds which make it come off as a bit trashy.
It is a small private but beautiful garden. There is an entry fee of $10 per adult. Nice place to take some memorable pictures.
Some very nice parts of the garden as a whole. The parking is hard to get during peak times (autumn). $10 is a bit steep unless you pack a picnic. No facilities in the gardens but some nice places to play amongst the leaves and two unfenced ponds create some nice areas to relax. Get there early in the season to enjoy the leaves before they're all trampled. Children's play equipment is rather dated and more than well loved.
It's a well maintained private property.nice colours of trees and leaves.a good place for a picnic on the smallpond side.enough free area for kids to play.
Short drive from Melbourne, we had good time with kids. And enjoyed our packed food there which we brought from home. I don't wanna go again.
A Great place to wander round and look at the autumnal colours, lots of space for the kids to run around and play.
Loved it, very tranquil gardens. Will go back in early Autum to catch the trees in full colour.
