Gapsted Wines

An amazing winery. Great food and great wine. Accompanied with a fantastic view of the vineyard. The staff are friendly as well. We have been here a few times and have been impressed every time. We always leave with a few extra bottles of wine to take home.

Always on the lookout for a great share platter and Gapsted Estate did not disappoint. Sat on the deck and drank in the amazing views whilst our waiter Peter was the perfect host.

Visited Cellar Door the other week, to start the parking arrangements were terrible, once we had arrived the staff were poorly dressed & obviously clueless about the wines. I called the wine club number & spoke to someone called Louis or Louise prior to this booking who was nothing short of rude & unprofessional.
Would not recommend!

We have visited Gapstead Wines several times and have never been disappointed. Today they were faced with major problems with gas supply and still managed to present a delightful modified lunch menu which speaks volumes for the professionalism of the chef. Staff are always so welcoming with a big shout out to Maria who does her job so well.

Cup Day long weekend. Monday. Well not happy. Came today expecting a nice delicious lunch and wine sipping experience. Always a great place to stop on our bike travels. To be told, no food left, lack of staff.
This place could be so grand, music, food platters, food, wine, did I say food platters.
Disappointed

A Marquise in Sept, a tent during a storm with a opening the size of Bogong village, ideal to get the spring flu, Fortuneately my wife and myself had warm winter clothing. Might also add walking 150 meters to the car park during heavy rain might help do that also. Service was apalling the wine came after the main course was served. A main course of prawns consists of 4 yes 4 pawns small to medium in size and 20 grams of fried potatoes Poor very poor indeed. May I also mention I ask the waitress what the main course of flank steak is.her reply was she and the cook had no knowledge what a flank steak was, There are many other reasons I recommend avoiding this place altogether. But all in all the wine is excellent.

Great wine tasting and lovely service. Left with 6 bottles and would have loved to stay for lunch.

I have not been to Gapsted Winery. But I first came across a bottle of Shiraz at Sunbury in Victoria. The wines are absolutely beautiful. I was recently in Euroa and spent $200.00 on Gapsted wines. I really admire the wine maker at Gapsted he has an excellent palate for wine he/she really know their stuff. I consider that they not only take the best quality grapes but also take quality before quantity. These wines are a must for both red and white. I love the Sauvignon Blanc in summer the best! Girls night 12 months ago 8 of us. We could not get enough of the Sauvignon Blanc a must. Good people great wine you cannot wish for anything better. Keep up your beautiful wine. I will be contacting you in regard to deliveries as I live in the central region from Melbourne. Do not change your wine maker delicious the best

Stopped here for lunch otw to Falls Creek. Loved the wine tasting and lunch set. The beef short rib was perfectly cooked and fell off the bone! Staff were pleasant and accomodating:)

Great day had, not a wine drinker but went for the food and the food was delicious. Service was amazing and very helpful, definitely recommend to anyone

What a delightful way to pass an hour. We had the 6 wine tasting with mini cheese plate. The sun was shining and our server was very knowledgable and interesting. We learnt a lot about wine in general, Gapsted wines specifically and a bit of regional wine growing history all in one. Wish I could remember the name of our server, a gentleman, on Sunday 29th May. Thank you for a great experience, I look forward to enjoying our purchases and our club subscription.

We were only there for a quick visit so did not get the full experience but what we did have was quite pleasurable. The staff are very accommodating and eager to let us try their wares. Autumn is a great time to visit as the view is splendid.

Easter Saturday. Refused service by anything other than bottle. No by the glass or tasting due to low staffing. Plastic glasses Only. Made to feel like they were providing us a privilege to give them money $.

Will never returned.

Loved their wines and food is so delightful with Beautiful scenic look out the Deck. Customer Service is no one priority, I would love to go back.

Had their 3 courses with few different wines and loved them all.
Would definitely suggest to everyone who loves to visit Northeast Victoria.

We were served by an incredibly knowledgeable man, had some beautiful wine out in the sun and really enjoyed our time there. Would recommend and would love to go back

Whether you are wanting to eat or sample some wines, here you find lots of choice for both, in a large space supported by helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Shame the 'lower' car park was full, so a larger area up on a rise helps.
Nice views from there which is rewarding.

Amazing lunch as always. Three course meal with wine pairing for $64. Friendly staff. Excellent scenery.

Went for a wine tasting with my family. Frank was our waiter. With an abundance of knowledge and a huge personality, Frank made this the highlight of the day. Highly recommended.
