Gami Chicken & Beer reviews
16Staff not even care about me, order was ready but wrong order also didn’t give it until we asked. Ordered coated but gave dipping sauce. Staff is always taking to each other doesn’t concentrate when working.
Amazing food, quick service and nice music without ads. The potato haven was definitely my favourite!
Best korean fried chicken in town! And DONT FORGET to order stir-fried spicy chicken with mozzarella cheese on top pair it with their sweet and creamy beer! SO GOOD
Ordered chicken corndue, Tteok bokki and katsu burger light and a tropical mocktail, boxing chicken on the chicken condue was average, chicken wings were good, cheese condue was interesting, cheese didn’t stick to anything, flavor wise was average as well, very disappointing dish for nearly $50, Tteok bokki was delicious, katsu burger was great, katsu was crispy and moist, slaw was nice, best out of the bunch and for $10, mocktail you have to serve yourself from the shaker, overall tasted great but yeh bit slack, overall 2/3 dishes were great, service was excellent, still disappointed about the chicken corndue though
We had an amazing experience during dinner, the food was the same standard across all Gami chains however rhe stand out were the staff. They were welcoming, friendly and very attentive especially Jimmy. He allowed the kids to make their own mocktails, helped taked our group photos in addition to providing excellent service. Highly reccomend this branch and will definitely be back.
Friendly staff, good service and nice ambience to have an evening chat. Love the korean food varieties there
Only comment on the food:
Tried boneless chicken and seafood pancake, pancake has really thick onion inside, and chicken still has the smell.
Use to visit the city store and carnegie store quite often, but this one is really disappointing.
I came in today for the 50% off promotion and gami springvale did not disappoint! They were so nice and the food was very delicious.
Very nice place to dine in, good customers
Service, the chickens are juice, crunchy and generous amount, gami and katsu burger are delicious, we definitely will be back again.
Gami is a well-known chain Korean fried chicken restaurant with several locations around Melbourne. Was never a big fan as I always felt their chicken was slightly too expensive and dry most of the times but as a new restaurant in Springvale it was important to give it a try again before reserving judgement.
We went on a weeknight, and it was pretty quiet apart from a few uber or takeaway orders. We were helped by friendly staff who served us politely and efficiently. The restaurant had a nice colourful interior with some good k-pop music in the background. The sitting area was comfortable, and the restaurant looked modern.
Ordered
Galbi Chicken Ssam $49.00 - Part of their signature to share menu the dish consisted of boneless chicken coated in KBBQ galbi sauce with a "Gami twist". The chicken was served with lettuce, pita bread and 3 sauces (kimchi, salsa and hummus). The chicken was well salted, crispy on the outside and thankfully quite juicy on the inside. Surprising everything went quite well together. I had the lettuce with the chicken in a wrap dipping into one of the 3 sauces each tasted exactly how they looked. Repeated this for the pita wraps. This kept the meal interesting throughout.
For the price I was slightly disappointed that you had to pay an extra $3.00 for radish which should really come with any Korean Fried Chicken. I also think the price was too high overall for the quantities served
If craving Korean fried chicken with a fusion twist, Gami has done a good job. However is slightly too high particularly with the Springvale’s food scene.
Enjoyed a tasty late lunch here with my family of 12. Very friendly service and yummy food. The Potato Heaven dish is to die for. They had a special 50% off deal til 2.30pm today which was awesome. I believe next Saturday 1st of April between 11am to 2.30pm is 50% for dine in as well. They also have very cute and friendly waiters. The manager is also friendly and nice. The overall experience was very pleasant for the whole family.
I Ordered the Large Boneless Chicken for One. The chicken was very dry, comprised of mostly scrap pieces and the portion size was laughably small for the money.
Nice atmosphere with good service. The dishes we ordered was succulent and delicious. I‘d recommend the unmissable chicken platter if you want to try all of the flavours.
Springvale Gami, the worst, slow service, small portions, bad service. I wouldn't recommend it
Good luck
Waiting for Uber /dash pick up
Thanks for free chicken (gamsahabnida)

Gami has recently opened which is a great addition to Springvale. The interior is so vibrant and colourful and the staff are so friendly. The soy garlic boneless chicken has tender meat but the batter could have been a bit more crisp as it is was rather chewy. Loved the potato heaven which was well balanced and has a hint of spice.
