Games World Chadstone

I asked if they have the train game card game and they said they do not have that card game and have never heard of it. BUT THEN ON THEIR WEBSITE THEY SAID THEY HAD IT IN STOCK I have had to order it online which will take a while don’t come here just go to another board game / toy shop unless you have physically seen them having the stocked item

Staff Cassandra was absolutely helpless and she lied about what she was telling us.

Bought a game today and asked her what's included, she was not sure so we paid and thought we can exchange if things are not we expected.

30 mins later, we came back to the store and asked for exchange or refund. Staff Cassandra refused to do so because the "Same day refund policy "doesn't apply for good that is unwrapped and opened.

She claimed if there is no faulty of the game then we cannot refund.

Will definitely never go back to this store if this is what their " same day refund policy " is.

My son absolutely loves this place. Grat selection of nice cars but they need to restock some more of the matchbox sized cars.love it!

Bought a Pokémon ultra premium collection charizard today at Chadstone Store and found everywhere else is 20% cheaper. They do not refund for change of mind.

Meg was amazing at giving me recommendations on board games when I felt so lost! Was super detailed and patient. Thank you so much!

Good place but not lots of options in matchbox and hot wheels or any small toy cars, never had any issues with this place

Huge range. Definitely makes you want to play games and complete jigsaws. Interesting finds. Great to see a large Games World store as ones we've seen have been small.

Overpriced and understaffed.
I frequent this store often, and every time I come back I think the staff seem more and more exhausted and overworked. They are always helpful enough, but none of them seem to know what a holiday is.
There’s been an ad for new staff in the window for months, but not once have I seen a fresh face.
My main problem is with the pricing, Gamesworld prices everything exorbitantly, selling a simple game like Cluedo at $49.99 when Target had it for $25. I am NOT paying double price for something so easily found elsewhere.
Additionally, they are ALWAYS out of stock of every game a good board game store should have. Who doesn’t have Catan? !
You’re better off shopping at Target and Mindgames.

Bought a card game for xmas for my brother. Openned and it had a misprint with some gameplay cards missing (e.g. Double-up in the print out, key cards missing for full game play). Bought another copy online elsewhere & for cheaper as I needed it quite soon. Southland store and staff were great at initial purchase.

However I went back into Chadstone after our extended lockdown; she looked at and counted the cards individually, acknowledged there was a misprint, openned another copy of the game with a stanley knife to double check in front of me, fine whatever (I did not ask her to do this, the game came with a manual with a list of the number of each value card).

Politely asked if we could check with a manager as that policy seemed a bit ridiculous, not my fault as a customer there was a misprint with their stock shipment, said her manager was on holiday. Said head office could not be contacted by her by phone and I had to go online. Huge waste of time and effort to get back across town to a Gamesworld, I did explain this and that I was in a rush.and I still have a faulty copy of a game that can't actually be played. You'd be frustrated too.

Busy working in healthcare during a pandemic.just wanted a non-faulty Xmas gift for my brother, I couldn't believe she openned up a copy in front of me with a stanley knife, then said I couldn't return mine or get credit for a different game (as my copy she'd gone through was already openned.) and unable to be resold? ! I don't need two copies of the same game 2 months apart, I needed a working copy of the game.around xmas/January. Just kept my cool and left. Lost a customer. A shame, the Southland staff were great!

Really not happy and I would like a refund or a store credit. Time is money.

It's great being able to walk into a shop with a wide variety of games and then go home and play them!
Friendly staff, one knew the stock better than the other but it would be unreasonable of me to expect all the staff to know all of the stock! He was willing to search their system to help me find what I was asking for.

Had some missing pieces from a game we bought through no fault of Games World at all. They were able to get the pieces in for us no problem and no questions asked. Fantastic service with a huge amount of games and puzzles.

Phenomenal range. I found expansions for games here that I’ve been unable to find anywhere else. The store is kept incredibly tidy and the staff are all friendly.

Thank you to your staff as they are very helpful and knowledgeable of so many games. We always walk away happy!

Awesome, huge shop with plenty of range. Sometimes lacking specific games but they can help you find them in other stores.

Love this place but it's a shame that it's not in my area I'm in I'm in Townsville they have everything from movie props to games I just love it there is no words to describe this place it's just fantastic

Item purchased Parker Mastermind Overpriced for the Poor quality of product sold as well as rude customer service when a complaint or observation was brought to their attention, this particular store are not interested in feedback or consumer satisfaction.

The store is much bigger and less cramped than it used to be after relocating within the centre. Fantastic service as usual, though prices are consistently above average compared to other stores or online.

Great model store, Shane helped massively. Great talking with him about things. Thanks from the Americans.

Shelves stacked with a broad selection of interesting fantasy, history, sci-fi and horror themed board games. Various party games. The store is a little bit cramped though when more than a few people visit at once.

Didn't buy anything, but, super friendly staff, very knowledgeable and helpful, will buy from here in the future.
