Joke of the year. Subscribed their mailing list for special offer. Just got email of their black friday sale. And guess what diecast product which are advertised for the sale, most of them are out of stock before even they go for sale. Which means they are putting item for the sale are out of stock. What a blatant liers. Absolutely no shame at all.

Business is in blatant violation of Australian consumer law. They sold me a puzzle with missing pieces, and when I tried to return it to get my money back, they told me I had to get the manufacturer to send me the missing pieces instead. Refused to budge even when I showed the ACCC website explicitly stating that in cases where a product has a major fault, the customer gets the choice of a refund OR a replacement, and it is illegal to require the customer to seek remedy from the manufacturer instead.

Know your rights, and do not shop at businesses that feel comfortable violating consumer protection laws.

If anyone else has had a similar experience with Games world, I have some experience filing small claims cases and I'm happy to help you draft a letter of demand and file a case with VCAT. The cost to file is $70 but there are conditions where it can be waived and when it's a slam dunk case like this one, you can also ask for filing fees to be recuperated as part of the judgement.

Has model kits although they are quote expensive for them. Decent selection of paints and brushes.

I accidentally purchased 2 wild cards Uno pack instead of regular Uno packs. This purchase was done along with some other games in the store. (we ended up getting new packs for a birthday party same day from else where) When I tried returning them next day they refused refund, they offered store credit. Unfortunately, I don't shop from them as often and it's going to be a waste. What a waste.

Two weeks ago I ordered 2xCatan Cities and Knights after purchasing 2xCatan basic packs - told to come in today to pick them. When I got home, saw they had sold me 2xCatan Basic expansion packs instead! Rang them straight away but they refuse to give a refund as the store closed as I was talking to them! Apparently they only do SAME DAY refunds! BEWARE! Will return tomorrow but can only get a credit! Very poor business practices.

Excellent range and well organised. Some unique items. Prices are higher than other stores for similar items.

The staff here are always rude and the store manager has a very dismissive attitude. I try not to shop here as the selection is terrible and I always feel like they are trying to push me out the door. Go somewhere else!

Bought a selangor star wars piece for 850$ only 300 made and it had a loose wing that BROKE off when i put it back into the box and they didnt notice when they packaged it also 24k gold plated down the drain
EDIT: I went back today to talk and discuss it with the store and weekend manager not only was she assuming that we were at fault before i even showed or said anything she was being very rude and talking over and arguing with my mother and I even though we were calm and had every right to be upset she didnd respect us or hear us out without ensuring to mention that we must take blame and ownership and that they cannot do anything at the moment which is fine but there was no need to be dissmissive and dominant over upset customers who are calm and trying to work something out

I was there to look for a jigsaw puzzle as a gift. There was plenty to choose from and other cool game boards etc. Most of the staff seemed knowledgeable, helpful & friendly.

Great couple of staff members on we arrived right on 5.30 pm after a 40 minute drive and they allowed us to enter the shop to look at puzzles. Thanks so much Maria and we never got the other staff members name. They were lovely and helpful and although we didn’t get what we were looking for they let us know that they were restocking the shelves this evening and that they would have more puzzles in the morning. We will be back. Thanks again girls. It’s very much appreciated.

Great place for any type of gifts for any age group. Must remember this place for birthdays and Christmas. Good destination for gift shopping.

I came in to find a deck of cards and I have never been to this store before so I didn't know where things were kept so I approached one of the staff member on the shop floor and kindly greeted her before asking her to please direct me to the product I was looking for.she glared at me with a "I don't want to be here" look and just pointed to the front counter glass cabinet without uttering a word. I work in retail too so I understand it is peak period during December and may have been a bad day for her but that was just plain rude customer service. There was a younger staff behind the counter who was nice enough to try and assist me instead.

Although this store has a variety of items to choose from, their model kits (especially) are well overpriced compared to other stores, so I wouldn't come in for kits here.
However I did pick up a kit as they were 20% off during boxing day sales.

Staff need to be trained.
I was prepared to purchase two die cast models totalling $320.
They could not locate one of the models displayed so they wanted to sell me the display model at full price.
The second model they had in stock but the price on the display and the price on their database was a $20 difference. Of course they were asking the higher price on their system. So I walked.

Decent staff but astronomical prices. You can do better for value at virtually any other game store in the city.
