Galbi #1 reviews
40 My friends and I came for the all you can eat KBBQ and really enjoyed it! The meats here were pretty nice! We particularly liked the wagyu beef cuts. The side dishes were really yummy too!
The service was also wonderful! We lost track of time and sat in the restaurant for way too long (we talk too much), but they patiently accommodated for us (we are so sorry though!). You are no. 1 in our hearts Galbi #1!
I highly recommend grabbing the beef soup on nights you can’t be bothered cooking. So yum, I get this every time (only for takeaway though!)
If you're looking for a great Korean BBQ buffet, this place is highly recommended. The interior is very comfortable, and each table even has a smoke exhaust fan to get rid of any lingering smoke and grease. The variety of food options is excellent, with choices ranging from meats to seafood to fried dishes.
The $42 all you can eat BBQ at Galbi is excellent value. The sides are a little bit and miss (the fried chicken wasn't very fresh) but the service is quick and the portions of meat are very generous. There were various small appetisers, such as pickled bean shoots and kimchi, on the table when we arrived and they complimented the BBQ flavour perfectly. The beef ribs were a highlight, so make sure you order a serve or two.
Omg.it super yummy! Long time no having Korean barbecue, love it so much. Variety of food you can choose.
My favorite seafood so yummy for barbecue. It is no quota! We ordered a lotEsp for the shrimp
The meat size is super big and I love eating it. Beef & chicken, pork ~ both mouth-watering. Will come again for sure.
Highly recommend going with a few friends or family and just having a good time. Food is great and atmosphere is chill. Only things I'd say are that is is a little pricey but definitely worth your money. Overall an experience I'd highly recommend.
We booked a table for dinner on a Friday night because the reviews were quite good. Unfortunately we had a very different experience.
Atmosphere:
Overall the place looked ok, a bit tired, we liked the booths, felt private and comfortable. We were seated at the booth closest to the door which is never great, there was a cold draft and the floor was really slippery from the meat grease. Bbq was propane gas cans, not great.
Food:
It's all you can eat! But I think you need to come seriously hungry to get value because the menu is very limited for the price per head, it's mostly meat. As far as we could tell there were no main options like Japchae or Dakgalbi etc. To start we were served lukewarm frozen packet sides like potato gems and crab claws, deep fried chicken drumsticks (tasted gross), the standard bbq sides looked very sad, like they were sitting in a fridge for a long time and were missing obvious basics like pickled radish and salad. The rice was old and clumpy. The meat options available were not good cuts either, a lot of it arrived at our table frozen and with freezer burn! I mean even other buffet style Korean bbq places like Miss Korea give you some premium meat options and serve it to you fresh.
Service:
We had 2 waiters, the guy was great - very attentive, he explained the menu/ordering and maintained our bbq. However the girl was shocking, bad attitude, she spoke to us poorly and spent a lot of time on her mobile phone she hid under the front counter or chatting to another table of girls. We had to prompt her several times for a drink order, more sauce etc. It cost us $110 with 2 drinks including a card surcharge for a 45 minute setting.
Overall a really bad experience for the price. Will not be back and would not recommend it, there are much better buffet/all you can eat Korean bbq places in this area.
Honestly incredible for $35ish all you can eat! Not the best quality however I’d never go anywhere else for korean!
Really enjoyed the food and thrilled with the excellent service. Good number of side dishes and worth it if you can eat a lot.
First time my partner and I went to Korean BBQ, it was so amazing! The food was really good quality and had some really nice flavours! The LA beef rib was my favourite, the kimchi soup was also really flavoursome! Also thanks to the staff for the amazing service and hospitality! We will definitely be back!
Went for a birthday dinner, the foods were so fresh and delicious and staffs were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended
Delicious, high-quality meat, quiet and private seating, easily accessible parking, and good value. Highly recommend the Angus beef ribs
Went here after work at 8.30pm. Great value. Tasty local korean BBQ. Service and food was very good. Will come back. No need to go into the city or boxhill.
Great food, very polite service, and unrushed experience. Very happy to have dined here, and would recommend and come again!
Food portions were great. A little bit resticted by space, but Nothing too out of the ordinary. Definitely a spot for all you can eat Kbbq in Boxhill.
I brought my family to try Korean BBQ for the first time and wasn't very pleased with this restaurant. Waiters are lovely but paying $40 a head I expected a bigger variety. They had run out of salad and for dessert we got offered lollies from the front counter instead. We asked for forks and got handed plastic forks and even their cups are paper cups for water. For the price they charge I would have expected a lot better. I'm a big fan of Korean BBQ and now my family doesn't want to try it again after that experience.
Our favourite Korean bbq buffet. Have been multiple times, and each time the food was great and service excellent.
My go to for local KBBQ! Food is of decent quality and the all you can eat option is extremely affordable. Wished they had maybe 1 more staff though but other than that, this is a great joint.
Amazing. Meat was divine. Worth the money, cheapest bbq place I've been to for what you get definitely 100% worth a visit
Went out for dinner tonight, raining outside, booked a table before rocking up. When we got there we were made to feel really awkward. We were asked to wait while a table was cleaned which was so fine. Then a group rocked up. The waiter then approached us to see if we wanted to sit outside in the wet. They clearly didn’t care about us and would have rathered the group eat inside. We ended up leaving after we were asked to sit outside again due to covid numbers. Not sure why the group couldn’t sit outside. Very uncomfortable experience.
