Galata kebab and grill

The customer service is absolutely cringe and rude, we ordered some meals only to know they were out of stock, when we told them what do they have available, the girls serving was like you can go ahead and cancel the order instead of giving us more “available” options, we waited 50 mins to get a table to dine in, took us another half an hour to get our starters, 15 mins wait to just receive hummus, after 15 mins the staff said they do not have any hummus left, and just took the menu off our table, we were served the dish before to a point we had to spread our own napkin to make it a plate so we can at least start eating, horrible experience, at the end we ordered a dessert with a male server, waited for 30 mins to only be told that they have not put in our order, paying 180$ for a platter atleast give us cutlery to eat and take our order when we literally waited one and a half our to literally get 2 meals, disappointed and disgusted, do a favour and find a better turkish restaurant because this is a rip off and really really terrible and rude service!

I am not very fond of kebab or hsps but when I got there it was a full house that we didn't get the table maybe because it was near to closing time however, that made me curious what the entire fuss is about. We ordered a mixed grill platter with dips and rice. Oh My Lord! It was one of the best pieces of meat I had, well cooked, juicy and their chilli dip. Literally salivating while writing this post.
If you are not a kebab or an hsp lover I d say give it a try and you'd be proven wrong.

Delicious Turkish local favourite cusines. Went on a busy friday night service. Got in relatively quick without booking. Management and staff very professional. Thank you Ash and team for a great dinner night out.

The worst customer service in West! Nobody knows what they are doing. Better to grab Kebab from food trucks

To be honest paying 50$ for iftar not even worth it
My meal the mix sheesh usually 26$ so i paid 24$ extra for the soup and tea and dates bit awkware
We were arround 11 ppl and few kids paid 700$ +.
The weird things they charged us for the chips and drinks even though usually oftar should have minimum chips included!

This restaurant is simply the best around. This family knows Turkish food and have been dishing up amazing food for years on end.
My got to is always the lamb meal plate that comes with dips, rice salad and Turkish bread which is freshly baked. 9.7/10

I don't recommend going there during Ramadan. The $50 set menu is not worth the cost at all, the soup was ok, the main was good but annoyingly they don't give you the option of choosing your dips, and the dessert was terrible. Dessert was a tablespoon of mediocre ice cream and a couple of small pieces of some sort of sweet dough.

Great food and prices. Was really busy and noisy when we went. Definately recommend however if you don't like loud places maybe opt for takeaway.

Galata, I’m really disappointed with your service. On two seperate occasions I have ordered food for take away only to get home and find out you haven’t given me everything I ordered.

OK, so another hard one to review. Hard because when it comes to Turkish food, we are spoiled in our local area. We have some of the best in the state, let alone the country.

The food was OK at best with the shish very dry. Serving portions were OK and the dips themselves were quite nice. Bread was fresh and food came out pretty quickly.

The service was really interesting as the young servers were polite and doing their best, but I reckon I counted 6 instances of dropped plates, cutlery, etc.

The other really annoying thing is, that obviously this place is the best Turkish in the area and as a result it was packed (according to my local mate this is the case every night), which meant that there is a queue of people starting from inside the restaurant to outside all hovering close to our table and giving you a greasy stair basically telling you to hurry up. We never felt comfortable at our table.

We only came here as our local friend invited us for dinner. There are plenty of better choices in Melbourne, but I can see the local appeal!

Food was excellent. We did takeaway and it available pretty accurate to the time they indicated 25 mins in peak time on a Sunday. It was packed, with a decent line outside as well, like 20 people waiting for a table. No complaints.

Service can be slow and hard to get only because they are always busy. Staff are lovely though and the food is amazing. Try their grilled meats share plate, mantu and chips (I don't normally recommend chips, but these We're noteworthy).

Delicious meals. Went on a Friday evening and there was a long queue. Would be better if they can book table for two people as well. They only take bookings for more than 4 people. We had to wait for 30 minutes in queue before getting a table but at the end it was worth the wait cuz of the food quality and serving size. Will definitely come back again but maybe at a better time?

I really appreciate all the workers at Galata who were able to give high quality service with placing us to seats when we didn’t make reservations. The food was piping hot and fresh and very quick! Thank you so much to the all girls and guys with your hard work and the chefs in the kitchen preparing food for everyone Wednesday night. Such delicious food and much leftover we took home. Well deserved tip! Thank you again

Food was great but disappointed in their service. I came with my elderly parents and we were waiting for quite some time to receive menus. No one told us that we had to scan the code infront of us to obtain the menu on our phones. Then when I requested menus, they told me the pricing wasn't the same. There is still a large number of population who isn't tech savvy so I would prefer receiving a tradional menu.

Galata CS is Great!
Amazing food amazing service amazing team. Always book in advance to avoid waiting in the Q. Even wait 20 30 minutes is worth the wait.
From entree to Main to desert and finishing with a Tea.
Beautiful CS lake view plenty of parking at the back and front.
If you are a foody this is the place to enjoy authentic Turkish Cuisine.

This place is fantastic the food is awesome and the Adana has to be the best I've tasted and believe me I have tried a lot and I know it's a big claim but it really is that good. The lamb shish was fantastic and the mixed Grill was as good as you can get and the portions are a decent size.
