Gaffney's Pie Kitchen reviews
38We drove from Albury to Melbourne and decided to drop into Seymour for lunch and went into Gaffney's Pie Kitchen and glad we did. Love the cottage pie and the lemon curd pie too! Will go again.
Best pie, sauce, vanilla slice combo that I've had. And in today's high inflation environment you get change from a tenner. Yes do stop here if you're near.
Can't go down the Hume without popping into Gaffneys for a pie. The food is fantastic here! Great little bakery.
Wow we have had lots of pies on our road trips over the years and the pies here must be some of the best. My favourite was the Chunky Steak and Black Pepper. The vegetable pastie was also very good. The home made tomato sauce is also a must! The sweets were also amazing! We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!
When I’m in a regional area I always look for the bakeries…love a good pie. Know my way around a pie cabinet. I bought a Chicken Parma pie, and a Lamb Tandoori pie for dessert from Gaffneys and was blown away by the taste and texture of the Parma pie, and the rich, full flavour of the Lamb pie. By the time I’d brushed the crumbs off the front of my shirt, and had time to think things through, I realised that these pies were now a firm number 1 and 2 in my top ten. Worth pulling off the highway for. 5 stars
Enjoy a delicious lemon and poppy seed muffin and coffee. Best place for pies as well, very friendly staff. Worth the stop and drive.
If you love delicious pasty on your baked goods, make sure you stop here. Delicious bakery products and coffee. The staff are lovely to chat to.
On way home to Melbourne needed a food desert pitstop and the sweets on offer here were very tasty especially the lamington and custard tart Def a must and coffee that tastes like real coffee
These guys have the best Beef and Shiraz pie. The lemon tarts are pretty darn good as well.
The pies are delicious and worth 5 stars but I tried 3 tarts and the pastry was too thick on all three. The fillings were good though. The pies are well worth the detour.
The apple cake was truly amazing.and definitely 5 star.
The pastie was close to the best I have ever brought in a shop but sadly room for improvement. Start with less pepper.
Thanks for a great feed.
Gaffney’s Pie Kitchen- worth a big detour. If you are travelling anywhere near Seymour it is my recommendation that you make straight for Gaffney’s Pie Shop and Bakery! Proper pies, pasties, pastries and sweet treats. Honestly the food is great!
Passing by on our travels to Canberra, read some reviews first, very happy, clean, great pies, lovely staff, highly recommended
Absolutely loved my cauliflower pie. My partner don't eat meat so it was nice to see all the different things that where available for him. Awesome little shop.
Stopped by on way back from a weekend trip. The pasties were packed and tasty. Had the meat pasty with Gaffney's own sauce. Topped it off with a coffee. Service was great. Would stop by again.
The best steak and mushroom pie I have ever had. I can't wait to go back and try others. The rage looked brilliant.
Called in to try one of their GF pies which we had for dinner. OMG it waa amazing! Staff were lovely too and gave a recommendation for some GF options to eat now.
Tldr: pies are good, service depends on your luck.
Tried Beef & Shiraz pie and slowed cook beef pie. Both are enjoyable.
Came here twice, on the way to Wangaratta and on the way back from there. And I had 2 opposite experiences: the first time, the lady who served me was soooo friendly, it left a lasting impression on me and made me want to return.
But on return visit, I was shocked with the service of the older lady: cold and "what does she want? " in an annoyed tone when referring to me.
Sharz pie to kill for parties haven't had one like this since i was a kid 40 years ago highly recommend
