Ive tried to support this local business 3 times now but today will be my last attempt. Underwhelming range, disinterested staff and items didn't scan at advertised catalog price.
Back to the big green warehouse for me, at least they're cheaper.

Friendly service, always gets my keys cut here after my disappointment with Bunnings key cutting.

Wemt in to buy a plant after finding on the internet that they sell them. I was told that it is not there store but the one in Sebastopol. I mentioned to staff that it would be good if it specified that it didn't sell plants.

Not terribly helpful. Agents for Trend windows. Shoved a form in front of me and left me to it. No one to actually talk to about the windows

What a fantastic customer service system. Unlike other leading diy stores, G Gay has a multitude of helpful staff. They know where their products are in the store. So you are not walking around looking for stuff. Huge car park too. There are 'specials' to browse. Give them a go.

Went to Gays for some timber that their competitors didnt have in stock. Not only did Gays have it but the person I spoke to insisted on carrying it to my trailer for me. The price was very good and while there i checked the price of other items I will need. Prices are very competitive so I will be using Gays as my preferred outlet from now on.

Shocked when it seemed to be posted price plus GST on a ladder I bought from them today. Are all its pricing like that.

Its got a very good range but is a bit pricey, though perhaps fair given the location. Staff were friendly but not very knowledgeable on my 3 visits. Unlike Bunnings there were no real skilled people in sales that I met which made getting the right solution difficult.

Always a pleasure to shop here, good friendly staff who know there products. I've been shopping here for the past 26years, Always able to find what I need.

Good products and staff but rude service from management. No I'm not a criminal just a potential customer. Will try to shop elsewhere

I love Gays. There's always someone friendly to help, they have great knowledge about their products and how to use them. No 16 year old shelf packers giving Bunnings advice here! How they have fit everything into such a compact space? Mysteries of life.:)

Been a long term customer. I always like the staff and they are experienced with their trades and ideas. Latest visit was to buy a movers trolley. So good to see some familiar faces.

Check receipt! Give a quote then once loaded charge another price. Thought I would support Bunnings opposition so didn't mind price quote was a little more than Bunnings. Price charged worked out a lot more than Bunnings and boards chipped and worse quality. Not coming back.

I was amazed by the level of service, and I have heard the same story from others.

Have been an account holder for 25yrs+ at this business and have been always treated to a smile every time I walk in the door. A wide range of products competitively priced at all times, just go there!

Highly recommended. I have had the best experience from this store! From Peter to every other team member I dealt with in the timber area were friendly, patient and extremely helpful. They had a 'care factor' which was really nice for a change.

The staff at the Wendouree store are fantastic! Always friendly and happy to help. Keep up the great work guys and thanks!

Cannot speak highly enough of the service I received this morning, especially from Tim. He was patient and attentive to what I was there to purchase and assisted me all the way through the process. Tim and his friendly colleagues are the reason we need to support local, family-owned businesses.

Been dealing with Gay's for 47 years, that in itself reflects how good the service and prices are. Great friendly service and help full staff. Wendouree is closed on Sundays and that is the only reason I would go elsewhere.
