Fuumi Fuumi reviews
48Meh… mediocre bread with eggs and ok, but weirdly priced, coffee. Also, time to move on from QR code menus and ordering… especially at these prices.
For a shop that specializes in bread especially shokupan, it’s a bit disappointing considering the price range. Ordered the matcha ogura toast but shokupan was dry and stale, the vanilla ice cream on top wasn’t smooth you could tell right away the quality wasn’t there lol. I guess we have other better options out there when it comes to shokupan cafe.
Dish is ok but value for money well.a bit hesitated.
But bread and coffee are good
quality and taste even though price is a bit higher than average.
I always buy when i go to city.
Still highly recommend
A cute little place for breakfast and brunch food was amazing, the breads are great and the staff is super nice.
Wonderful japanese cafe with coffee and shokupan toast! Wait times can often be quite long so booking in advance is recommended.but definitely worth a try.

I've been wanting to try @fuumifuumi for a while now and finally got to it. A short stroll from Queen Victoria Market, they are dominating the street with their freshly baked Japanese bread and other amazing treats.
We ordered their signature Nama Shokupan Bread (Small for $7.90), Matcha Redbean Drum Pan ($) and Iced Matcha ($), but they have far more to offer and we'll be going back soon to check them out.
The bread texture is towards the chewy side but absolutely delicious. Matcha Redbean was my favorite- just the right balance of matcha and sweetness. A big call out to their packaging as well- clever and minimalistically pretty.
Honestly it was a bit irritating as I walked in around 2: 30pm and they told me the owner decided to close early, which is absolutely disorganized.
I feel you’d better call them before you go and won’t get nothing and waste the time.
Like matcha toast and the drink! Good and clean atmosphere but the price is a little bit too high.
They cook great here! The staff is always friendly and will advise you on the best things to try. Lots of interesting Japanese food. I really like Matcha & Hojicha latte
Went out of my way to come here only to be ignored by staff. There was no one else waiting in line and yet they seem like they were bothered by my presence. Not sure if they want business but the cashier stopped paying attention whilst I was mid-ordering. The bread and coffee were also overpriced for the bland taste, which is a shame given the highly praised reviews.
Judging from the reviews, it used to be much better than this, but it seems that its only gone downhill recently, so be wary before getting out of your way for it.
A must-visit if you love Japanese style brunch. This little popular bakery/cafe offers a wide range of delicious breads and pastries as well as brunch dishes. I’m so obsessed with their baked goodies and matcha latte.
Had a wonderful experience and all their staff had exceptional customer service. They are amazing and very helpful. Food was delicious. Best to book online and come on time. Read their terms and conditions.
Cute cafe with good foood!
staff is friendly
toast is fresh and warm
place cozy and crowded even on rainy day!
This quaint japanese style cafe is totally hidden in West Melbourne, but is so worth the visit. The food is incredible, with portions that look small but, pack an incredibly authentic Japanese punch. From the coffee to the bacon and egg rolls, you'll be pleasently surprised by just how full you get. Also try the beef stew it is amazing. 5/5
I had three of the little rolls they sell (I don't remember the names, they're in Japanese) : salmon, prawns and egg. Sooo good.
We really enjoyed our early breakfast at this Japanese style café. Despite the limited space, the café is very cosy and nicely decorated; outdoor seating is available too. Food and drinks, such as the signature Fuumi iced latte and toast, are aesthetically presented, though taste-wise they tend to be on a sweeter side. Don't miss out their wide selection of Japanese / Japanese-inspired pastries, which can be ordered at the counter (and not via their app).
Cute little Japanese cafe in West Melbourne. They have a small, but interesting menu, accompanied by a large selection of baked shokupan bread goods
This was a Japanese style cafe.
They offer many snakes and bread inspired by Japan street food.
Unfortunately, the staff told me they only serve S. O.in batch brew. And they don't do single origin with espresso machine.
I like the food and coffee their.
The cafe decorating was also comfortable and lovely even it was a very small venue.
The staff was also very friendly, I would like to recommend this Cafe.
100% Japanese Cafe perfection. Fast, charming service. So so polite. Foam art on the matcha lattes were spectacular. All meals scrumptious.
It's ok, very breaddy. Everything literally surrounds a big chunk of white bread. Fair enough if that's their USP. The quality of meat is questionable. Roast beef is actually just silverside. With a big layer of fat included in the slice. Not that great as a bread topping. Coffee is good quality. It's a great Japanese bakery attached to a cafe basically that's why everything is bakery based food. The attention to detail with their latte art is basically what makes people line up out the door on weekends due to Instagram posts.
