37 Bad experience,
rude customers,
Dusty,
can't breathe,
only one check out etc.
In years to come, Imma tell my great-great-great-grand-children that the Granny Smith apples were as big as soccer balls whereas they are only huge and each is about 250g (unlike those tiny 100g tennis balls you get at certain chain supermarkets). $2.49/kg. Also, red capsicums, excellent size and shape? $4.99. Always value and quality here. Plus, excellent parking at Blue West Oval, and there are decent public toilets by it too. Overall, always worth coming here.
Not entirely happy with my purchase I got not realizing shopping with two adhd autism children and the lady continued to scan through and weigh my produce I had in the basket.
Good variety of veg and fruits. Especially fruits are at low prices always, I prefer buying in bulk here. Few selected veg are at low price too.
Good quality of veg and fruits although not the top but generally cheaper. This is the place I can get Asian veg like bitter gourd, okra, long melon etc.
Not fresh fruit, bought multiple apples, Passionfruits and a pomegranate and when cut into all were brown and disgusting.
Very disappointing
Fruit shack is value for money. Really fresh vegetables and fruits we have been enjoying for the past 5 years.
Got a 5 kg of potato, 500gr of strawberries and some oranges for$7.60 grait savings and good products
Haven't been for awhile but the place looks amazing, so clean and tidy. Fruit & vegetables are so good and great prices. Staff very friendly. Keep up the good work
Okay, often cheap but you get what you pay for. Produce is seconds grade and often at the end of useful life. However, there are some bargains to be had.
The fruit here is ready to eat when you buy it so I don't buy more than what we are going to eat for the week ahead unless I am preserving it. Fruit Shack is a great place to buy fruit in bulk if you want to make batches of jam when the fruit you are looking for is in season
Fruit shack in Thompson a great range of fruit and vegetables much cheaper than the biger super markets and lovely staff
Freshly cooked! I love buying fruits and veggies in this place. Great service and great price!
Definitely will recommend!
Photo (ingredients) : Bean sprouts, carrots, tomatoes, green cabbage, garlic and onion! Don't forget to put a bit of spices (salt -optional & pepper)
Some good produce at really low prices. Most stock is more seasonal than the supermarket so expect to buy with the season or pay more or have stock that is not great quality. A few times I have gotten some eggplants late in the season and suffered with browning on the inside when cut open but otherwise no issues with the products. The store itself is a little tight in covid times so pick less busy times to visit. Staff wear gloves and masks and there is a plastic screen up at the registers. Baskets are always wiped down too. You can also get local honey.
Mid-corona, Fruit shack would have to be one of the most dodgy places I go to. The customers don't know or care about distancing and the plastic bags are loose, not on dispensers.
Quality comes with price. Fruit shack offers cheap prices but comprises on quality. You really have to be picky to get the best one, still you end up in bagging few rotten. I only pop up there when dying to buy expensive item. 5/5 on the varieties available at a time.
Very very nice and good quality, low prices all Vegetables, fruits and also nice n cooperative staff.
Excellent priced produce, good range of available products. The staff are efficient and friendly as well which is nice. This store is now our regular stop for produce when getting groceries. Only thing is the vegies make the car smell a bit for some reason even if only in there for a short time, so head home after buying if you can!
Usually the fruit and vegies are pretty fresh, but Last time ı went the some of the fruits had mould growing and the tomatos. Only if the staff could be more Friendly.
Cheap fruit n veg, saves me $10-15 per shop I reckon. Most it is oversized which is good. Some of it like the tomatoes and strawberries can go off quickly.
