Great spot on the Esplanade and service was excellent but food was a bit limited. Deep fried Parma and chips plus arancini left me feeling a bit average.

Very generous meals and I should have taken the option of smaller servings that's available!
Had the chicken parma, partner had the burger, both served with a generous side of chips, and salad with the parma. Both meals were beautifully cooked and presented, and the coffee was good too.
Staff were efficient and friendly. Highly recommend.

Food was mediocre, service was terrible and the atmosphere even worse. This is in such a beautiful location but the restaurant was really dirty including the tables, walls and even cutlery. A very simple request regarding menu item was shut down by waiter without even asking kitchen if accommodation could be made and the atmosphere was completely dead. Real shame as this place could be so much more.

Where do I start… to the owners of this establishment. PLEASE stop hiring all foreign tourists for little to no wage and experience. It’s embarrassing for them and you.

Price was $150 for two people. That gained us two entrees and a main as well as one cocktail, which the staff did not know how to make, and two pints of lager.

Upon ordering, most of the menus items were unavailable, including drinks. The kitchen closed at 7pm on a weekend, so we were hurried to order. No table service, orders are made at the bar.

Entrees and main brought out at the same time.

Food was well below par for the price.

Main:
$40 for a pasta dish that consisted of Vietnamese prawns, so close to ocean, 8 cloves of ‘confit garlic’ and over cooked dried pasta. Very average attempt at a dish.

Entree:
$20 for two sliders… flavourless pork and a little cabbage.
$20 for three arranchini… disaster on a plate.

Chef - move on from garlic please.

Absolutely do not go here. Go somewhere who supports local employees and supports local produce. This place is pathetic.

Food was very subpar.

Asked for feta on my chips, something they literally have on the menu. Told me they couldn't do it, wouldn't even ask the chef.

Weird hill to die on, but okay.

Steak was a tad bit too dry (and overcooked) - wanted a medium rare but got a medium well instead.

Gnocchi was super delicious though and atmosphere was great.

Most of the dishes were great. Service had to be called a few times as described elsewhere.
“King prawn & scallop” pasta…did not quite live up to the name for the price (the scallop was size of a caper….)

Came in with a group of 11 for dinner on a public holiday. When we called they gave us two options either for 2: 30pm or 5pm. We took the 5pm but when we turned up they told us the booking was made for 6: 30. Few minutes later they made some room for us. They delivered us wrong drinks and food. Sometimes they even didn’t know what they were serving. After sometime a friend complained about her bacon on her burger. Which she requested without bacon and they literally just removed it and returned to our table. After talking to the waiter again the she organised a new one.
I liked the pasta. Others found it to oily. The chips are bad, neither by them self or as a side dish with fishnchips. I told the waiter and she responded that she likes them. Great costumer service. Wouldn’t walk in there again
They also charge 20% surcharge for public holiday. I usually would expect better costumer service than what I have seen that evening

Food was terrible. Staff OK. Just another average establishment in Torquay over charging for below par standards

Food and service was so great we came back two nights in a row during our two night holiday. Matt our server was a legend and made the experience even more memorable. We will be back!

We went to FrontBeach twice on a recent trip to Torquay, once for lunch and once for dinner.
I was very impressed by the wait staff, who were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
The atmosphere was relaxed and warm and the menu had a nice variety of dishes, entree options and was reasonably priced.
We had the bagels for lunch and they were delicious. For dinner I had the Rock Ling, and friends had the braised lamb shoulder, the gnocchi and the pork croquettes. We were all impressed.
Payment was easy, with us paying separately for our meals.

All around, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Mussels were superrrr good! They were soft n fresh and it wasn't chewy n tough.
The sauce was a little spicy for me as I'm unable to take spicy food.

It's obvious the price would be a tourist price and that is fine:)

Me and my Family enjoyed dinner at this restaurant. We didn't experience food poisoning what other tourist people were saying on this review. The food was delicious and presented well. If you want an ordinary food then chicken parmigiana.

For specialty food, you want to treat yourself definitely a STEAK. The staff were kind, but a bit tired it is understandable, it is all good, it's evening:)

Took mum for Mother's Day and the meal was delicious. The servings were generous and if the plates were warmer then they would have been perfect. Would like to thank Xavier for all his efforts.

Will definitely go back!

Had lunch here with the family, and I was impressed. They had high chairs for the kids and staff where friendly and attentive. Food was fresh and delicious, also well priced. All the tables was well spaced and plenty of fresh air so felt very covid safe. Give it a try.

One of worst experiences ever! Never thought that I’d pay for a food with this price and get sick (food poisoning) after… By the way it wasn’t just me, my two other friends that were with me got sick as well… They managed pretty bad after all…
