Freeway Reserve reviews
21This is a great place to ride, walk and exercise at the many exercise stations along the concrete and tan track. There's a wide open grass space for fun and games and an archery field.
Great ground to play on but weird slanted pitch and very slow outfield. Still decent for cricket but please if you can make it better
Love it! I work around the corner. After work to wait off traffic I do a few laps. It's safe, clean and not over crowded.
A nice bike track with slight uphill, a nice place to play sport and to take the dog. Freeway has an access point to a bridge that crosses the M1 to Brandon Park Dr.
The walk is beautiful with nice nature with exercise points scattered around the track.
Basic open area park, ok for a dog walk or to play ball sports. Not the best during winter as the drainage is poor and it can be a couple of inches deep in water.
Massive grass area. Soccer and archery here.
Pretty much so as you want when clubs not operating
Clean, with grassy plains and concrete paths which make them great for walks and cycling. Quiet on a weekday afternoon - would recommend if looking for undisturbed walks/exercises. On a sunny day, there’s abundant spaces on the grass to rest on. Bridge over the freeway offers a nice view:)
Great place for a walk/run, also great if you have a dog lots of space for it to run around. Also plenty of exercise equipment all around the park. There is also a small playground here.
Nice park, discovered it by accident.
Running/Walking track is good, 1.5km laps, with just one small road crossing.
Plenty of native trees and shrubs, smells great, especially after a bit of rain.
Huge open field (s) for grass sports and off leash (not fenced) for the dogs in the middle, surrounded by gravel/concrete circuit path which is good for walks/run. Lots of trees amidst being next to a freeway.
Though, field not so great after rain as it gets waterlogged and bit muddy.went with a white and tan dog and came back with a dark brown one ;)
Great walking paths with ever-changing scenery. So close to the Monash Freeway and yet well vegetated with native trees. Loved the bridge over the freeway, it has a good incline to walk up.
A good open field that is off leash (when there are no sports on) for dogs.
A easy walk around the reserve on a mix of concrete path and gravel. The pram managed it well. Plenty of bins along the way to dispose of those poop bags.
It's OK for a short jog or walk if your close, but otherwise there are better places. The circuit is around 1.75 kms with exercise challanges along the way. It's partly bush, but mostly not with one small area with table & chairs and playground equipment etc.
Nice trail for walking or running. Fitness equipment along the path, various clubhouses and lot of room to social distance. You can see people walking their dogs or riding their bikes. It's lovely!
This is the location of Waverley City Archers. I am a member of this club. One of the best-administered clubs I have been a part of and I enjoy it immensely. Its introductory classes are also conducted with a high degree of professionalism. The club has an outstanding relationship with the local council and the target range is always well-manicured, the target buttresses well-maintained. Fees are very reasonable and the members are sociable and supportive. The range is disabled-friendly, and has a contingent of visually-impaired archers. This club is a gleaming gem, nestled in suburbia.
Yeah great, great reserve. I thought it wasn't gonna be a good reserve but then I got there and it was a great reserve. If only I could reserve the reserve haha no that's not how life works these days. You know since my wife left me, it's almost like my life left me; she took my nikes you see and they meant the world to me. By nikes I mean my kids: Jordan and Lebron. Anyway, at least the way there was free. 10/10 reserve, I mean great/10.
Good place to visit. Archery Club good to take lesson or go for a come and try. $20. - for a 2 hour session all Equipment supplied.lnstructors and Coaches are fully accredited by Archery Australia.
Good walking / exercise trail that loops around on itself or let's you head off somewhere else. Lots of huge open areas, trees, birdlife and work out stations along the way.
Great walking track, popular both for the office workers and the local residents. Off leash area for dogs.
The walking track around the assorted sporting grounds isn't quite 2km so it's small compared to some, but it's well maintained and has some occasional (albeit basic) exercise equipment here and there. Personally I thought the extensive tree removal along the Wellington Road side that was completed in 2017 was a step backwards; exposing the track somewhat to a busy, noisy stretch of road. Still, it's a good space.
