Freeway Golf Course reviews
31First time played here, awesome tight course, will be back and play again. Play flowed well and very little waiting on group in front
Nice and reasonably challenging course but need to walk a bit between holes though. One very wrong thing they did is, a wooden backed bunkers which pose very dangerous bunker play to players, especially casual and middle to high handicappers, due to ball ricocheting or breaking your much loved lob wedges
Alwasy clean envioronment, My favrout place to practice Golf, its my place every Saturday.
Course is in great nick and the temp greens are gone. Very fun course but pretty hilly so suggest getting a buggy if you can't walk will
There are sleepers on the face of the bunkers, creating both a health hazard and a comical addition to your golf. I hit into the par 3 9th, decent shot but faded into the greenside bunker.the ball hit the sleepers and flew 40m at a right angle and ended up in the car park.
Revised course layout is interesting, challenging & fun. The course is in excellent condition most of the work now complete. With new & extended pathways, drainage work, a general clean up & complete upgrade of all Bunkers, a round here is thoroughly enjoyable.
Worst golf course ever! Absolutely disgraceful to advertise “cyclists and all welcome” and then proceed to indefinitely close the crucial link between the Bolin Bolin and the Main Yarra Trail. People need open spaces more than ever, and golf courses like this one are just wasting valuable space that could be far better utilised.
A very good river course with reasonable fairways and greens. Subject to some soggy spots in winter, but friendly staff and good coffee. Enjoyed it. And the golf!
There are a few changes to the course with the Tunnel works taking place. The back nine, is now the front nine and long walk from the 9 green to the 10th, overall its not a bad public course.
Some greens cored, 1st hole unavailable (the only par 5) due to freeway construction. Back 9 is now the front 9 and the walk from hole 10 (previously the 18th) to11th (previously the 2nd) is the longest walk I've ever made between holes, in fact possibly 600 meters. Overall ok for a quick round where driver is not required for most holes.
Back 9 pretty good - course generally good condition. Unfortunate losing the first hole front 9 due to sewerage/drainage work for north east freeway link. Good test of straight hitting.
Enjoyable course to play on. It wasnt crowded so we could play without pressure of others hitting up behind. Good for very infrequent playets!
The course is in emaculate condition at the moment. Council has spent a lot of money on the coursr over the past 5 years or so. Greens and tees in excellent condition.
Great little course with lots of drivable par 4s. Very well kept for a public course and good value too!
Good for a public course, greens in good condition.just need more sand in some of the bunkers and some patchy fairways
Freeway golf is a very nice golf course. Was able to hire a golf cart. The pro shop had sales on gloves and shirts.
Great staff great public course enjoyable from go to woo, friendly, advice second to none. They go the extra mile to help you out. Fantasti c experience
An interesting golf course. Chalaging for some with elevated greens. Friendly pro with great coffee to start the round of golf.
This golf course is not a very long one but it provides a decent challenge. The course is quite narrow in parts so make sure you try to stick to the fairways as there are a lot of trees, creeks, and other hazards to ensure that you have a tough time out there on the course.
The pro shop is not in a great spot if you want to try to get a quick half time snack or drink. It's a fair way to get to after you finish the 9th hole if you want to keep your game going at a decent pace.
