Fredericks reviews
24A foodie delight! I ordered some snacks this evening on Uber Eats as I felt a bit nibbly, and they included a free 10 pack of face masks! Their selection is really great and diverse, interesting things I was excited to try- African Biltong, dill pickle flavoured chips, almond fingers, vegan sweets. Many of their products are locally sourced in Melbourne and made with Australian ingredients, really great to see them support local small businesses. Definitely recommened!
Professional service and great to support locally owned business that supports the local community
Great shop went to get pie for Easter but didn't have scallop pies but could have spent hrs in shop
An amazing shoppe. The delicacies available here surpass anything I’ve seen in Melbourne in such a long time. The store is beautifully laid out and it has an enchanting old world charm that fills you with “foodie” bliss. The liquor available here is fascinating as well as seductively inviting. You’ve got to see this purveyor of wondrous delights for yourself. I love this place.
A lot of food here is of a high quality but I often find the fresh produce is not. This is a very very over priced store.
Went to Fredericks specifically for the Smiths Pies they stock. But they have a wide range of food products. Loved the duck and cherry pate.
My son has had a Ross procedure at Epworth Hospital, where they replace both the pulmonary valve and the aortic valve. He also had an aneurysm removed from his heart. When they completed the procedure, he had a bleed and they had to open him up again to re suture an area of his heart. We were obviously terrified and while the hospital staff was amazing going through this alone with no support and no one to visit was awful. I live interstate and was not able to enter Melbourne so I called Fredricks to ask if they could deliver some bone broth and some items to help his recovery. Richard and Clare not only organised this but followed up with extra support, even offering to do his washing if needed.
It is a testament to you and Clare that you have been so amazing, your kindness. I have no words. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Frederick's Richmond delivered a beautiful box of local and regional produce to my son and flatmate who are currently in lock down in Richmond. A bright note for their day and delicious food & wine to enjoy. The service was outstanding and only to happy to oblige with delivery. Many thanks highly recommend, this is my second interaction, both times amazing. Mary McLeod
Really good but also frustratingly incomplete for regular shopping. Lots of spice, but no cumin. Lots of grains and beans, but no black beans or quinoa. Lots of flour types, but not hasa marina. Staff were friendly but, had to be pushed to offer membership.
This is a great spot for high quality goods, and definitely add it to rotation mixed in with a supermarket shop.
I don’t often come to Richmond, I’d just come in for an appointment.
I was starving, I hadn’t had lunch.
A gentleman by the name of Malcolm loaded me up with the best tofu I’ve ever had, a beautiful broth, and a mixture of other sincerely delicious vegetable dishes.
It was a beautiful experience in a culinary sense and a social sense.
Happy birthday Jimmy!
Brilliant store / fabulous service and reputation. Wont find a better range in Melbourne - there bottle shop down the road is also quality. Visit very often.
These guys are actually the best. Loveliest team, awesome owners, great range of insanely good qual products and food. And as a vegan - amazing vegan options incl cheese.
Overpriced rubbish. I bought some bone broth here or some place similar. Never used it so I'm blaming Fredericks.
Great store with beautiful products abs very informative. Bought the best hot cross buns I've had in years.
Top quality grocer here.
Place always clean and full of quality organic produce and even good wines, ciders and beers with really great prices. The owner is very nice and helpful too.
Brilliant local grocer. Has the basics, but also a lot of hard to find ingredients. Has an emphasis on smaller regional and ethical producers. My home state of Tasmania is well represented (the scallop pies deserve a special mention). Great craft beer & wine range. Friendly & helpful staff. It's now my first stop for groceries.
Quality Friendly and Informative Quality products and amazing range of honeys and related produce. My type of store.
Top quality tasting food & fantastic service! They have the best tasting gluten free bread, pie's, steak's ect. As well, have a big selection of yummy gluten free, healthy muesli's! Highly recommend you shop here as you don't want to miss out!:)
A lovely local gourmet grocer. A bit pricier than a supermarket but it's generally for higher quality goods and worth it.
Stocks rather unusual things including scallop pies from Tassie and honey in test tubes from local Melbourne hives.
