Having worn glasses for 20 years, I went in for an assessment with Dr. Gupta. The assessment process was very easy and accommodating to my needs and I was booked in for surgery promptly, and the results are life changing. I wish I did it earlier.

I am 92 years old and I was referred to Dr Nishant Gupta after waiting many years to have my cataract surgery done on the public list, to no avail. I decided to call Frankston Eye and Laser Centre after hearing great reports from family. From the moment I called, all the staff were very professional, caring and helpful with the process from the reception staff, to the Orthoptist. Dr Nishant Gupta was absolutely amazing and professional with his explanation of the surgery which made the process very calming for me. Since having my cataract surgery done, within the last month, I have found a new lease on life seeing the world through my eyes with more colour and clarity. My only regret is that I didn’t have my cataract surgery done years ago. I highly recommend Dr Gupta and his team.

After wearing glasses since I was 4 years old, I decided I need a change and to see what options were out there. I went and seen Doctor Gupta from Frankston Eye and Laser and what an amazing experience I have had. I had surgery on both my eyes, in which each procedure takes less than 15 minutes each, pain free. What an incredible experience I have had. After wearing glasses for over 50 years, I can say, No More Glasses for me ever. Doctor Gupta and his team at Frankston Eye and Laser are such an amazing company of Professional People. I would Highly Recommend to all and do what I did, go and see Doctor Gupta, from Frankston Eye and Laser, you will not be disappointed.

Appalling behaviour by Dr Gupta to my elderly mother who was referred by spec savers. She doesn't have private health insurance and asked is it possible to have the surgery done through the public sector. He threw his arms in the air and grunted at her and became nasty and dismissed her.

It's been 5 months since my surgery and I cannot read properly. I was passed from Dr Gupta to Dr Kini to be told there is nothing that can be done to correct what has gone wrong. Had an MRI and many bloods done which is still showing one inflamed muscle, possibly because 'in rare occasions' the needle goes into the wrong place in the eye and I just need to learn to turn my head when driving as apposed to using my eyes normally!
My last appointment was cut short after waiting for an hour for nothing. I was brought into the practitioners room, didn’t even get to complete any part of the exam when Dr Kini came and pulled me out to be told something that could have been done over the phone.
Reception staff are amazing, the intake optometrists are lovely, the doctors, definitely not worth it.
Botched eye I now have to live forever with.
If I provided this kind of service to a Client I would be disbarred!

My above review was not based on the surgery and complications which arose but rather the post operative care which was quite simply extraordinarily sub par. The 'extraordinary lengths' quoted are untrue. The service provided by the 2 named Dr's was appalling. I stand by the fact the service team were fantastic but what is quoted in the reply to this review is nothing shy or covering up for shoddy service, double backing on advice on what to do and it has put my career in jeopardy as I am struggling to read.
The surgeon who performed my surgery was, by this clinics own admission pawned out to trusted clinics to avoid waiting lists. Hmmm!

Wow, wow, wow. From first contact to the final post op consultation, these guys (the whole team, led by Nishant Gupta) were professional, courteous and more than patient with all my concerns and questions. I'm now free of any optical aids (ie.multiple glasses, contact lens) and my only regret is not having gone thru refractive lens exchange (RLE) much earlier.

I want to sincerely thank Dr Gupta and his amazing team at Frankston Eye & Laser Centre. After years of very poor and constantly declining eyesight, he has given me 20: 20 distance vision, I am eternally grateful. I was initially hesitant and had lots of questions, but from my first consultation and throughout the operations and follow up check-in’s; Dr Gupta has been so reassuring positive and professional. He and the staff at the centre deal with so many people, however they always made me feel like they were personally invested in my vision journey. What an incredible difference they have made to my life, thank you doesn’t seem enough.

From first point of contact the team were fantastic, professional, warm and caring. Dr Gupta treated me for a large Chalazion which required lancing. I cannot speak highly enough of his skill and care. If you ever have to have an anesthetic needle in your eyelid, he is the man to do it. So gentle, I felt completely comfortable in the hands of Dr Gupta and his colleague. Everything was explained to me clearly along the way, including post care. I truly couldn’t recommend the Frankston Eye & Laser Centre highly enough. Angels!

In 2021, after getting some foreign matter stuck in my left eye, and having it removed, I continued to experience very significant pain post having it removed. I was referred to Frankston Eye and Laser centre where I understood I was experiencing Recurrent Corneal Erosion. I ultimately required laser surgery to address my problem, to enable my eye to heal, but with the added benefit of it correcting my (poor, short-sighted) vision at the same time.
I had great experience with Dr Nishant Gupta, who was great at communicating my options, undertaking the surgery, and diligently tending to me post operation, as well as all other members of the eye clinic who were incredibly professional, either in booking me in, rescheduling appointments, or assessing my vision.

I ultimately needed touch up surgery to get my vision to a servicable level in one of my eyes, as it did not recover post surgery to the level hoped, but this and all post surgery appointments were included in the (I thought) quite reasonable price.

I now have no eye pain, and beyond 20: 20 vision, a very happy outcome - and made to me what I thought would be a daunting process, a simple one.

I was referred to Dr Gupta for cataract surgery in both eyes. Prior to the surgeries, I has to wear multifocal lenses at all times. Now, not only have my cataracts been removed, I can also see so well, I only need glasses very occasionally to read very fine print. The procedures were easy and painless.

Dr Gupta and his team were fantastic throughout the entire experience. COVID and the hospital changing hands resulted in several delays and a surgery location change outside of their control; however, they handled those professionally and kept me up to date.

Thankyou Dr Gupta and all staff for the friendly support threw out my cataract surgery. I am very happy with the result.

Had Pterygium surgery by Dr Gupta, end of September, I was apprehensive about having it done as I had heard a horry story from many years ago, Dr Gupta assured me he had done many, many & it would heal, it takes time. Last visit today & couldn't be happier. Eyesight has improved dramatically & healed very well. Thank you so much Dr Gupta & staff Frankston Eye & Laser clinic.

Had laser eye surgery performed. Went fantastic. Both Dr Gupta and the staff were very professional and friendly and now i have 20/20 vision! Amazing experience!

My dad (Ray) recently had cataract surgery completed for both eyes by Dr Nishant Gupta and highly recommends the services both pre and post op and found the team there very professional and friendly.

Please be aware this practice no longer has its day surgery in Frankston, you will have to travel to Clayton. The change of venue is not stated on their website or literature, and I was only told of the venue change at the end of my appointment. After talking to the person who was to accompany me, I phoned the practice and following a condescending phone call said I’d be writing a review. I also made a complaint by email to the Practice Manager and referred to their website which gives the overall impression their services are conducted in Frankston. I made no mention of posting a review.

DR Gupta was amazing with my cataract surgery, totally professional, Alex and the girls at reception were all happy to help me and very professional too.

I've had a great experience with Dr Gupta and his team, for not really knowing what to expect in hospital and also not knowing what to expect the outcome to be after the Refractive Lens Exchange. It has now been 4 weeks since my operation and I could not be happier with the outcome. Thanks again.
