What a gem! Amazing selection of sci fi and fantasy books. And so many kids books! It's very hidden away so a bit difficult to find.

A great place to pick up gema from your favourite authors. And they treat books with respect here - not marking them unnecessarily.

Rob was polite and very helpful. He found the book I wanted and paid me for the books I brought in.

It’s a good shop and it’s got a bunch of amazing stuff and an extremely wide collection but it is in a bit of a sketchy place and rather hard to find the owner did creep me out but I’ve read a lot of good reviews about him and I didn’t get to know him that well so I wouldn’t take my word for it but I also wouldn’t want to go to the shop alone given it’s spot.

You can find a lot of rare books there and the owner is a very helpful person. Got what I was looking for there and even more.

Excellent bookstore with a huge range of books! Lots of vintage copies, collectors editions and even illustrated copies! They have a range of comic books, fantasy, science fiction, true crime and history, with a lovely shelf for kids stuff at the counter. Amazing prices and super knowledgeable, patient and kind owner! Highly recommend!

Fantastic little book shop hidden away off the beaten path, plenty of titles, I immediately bought a bunch I was interested in, all in very good condition and appropriately priced. The owner is also very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this store, I will certainly be making more purchases here.

Great place, the owner Rob knows his stuff. If you're looking for recommendations just throw him a genre, he'll figure out the rest

A great little store.

Plenty of books.

A great touch is the amount of series they have with all the books bundled together.

I've perused the stacks here for years now, and if you love books I reckon there aren't many places better for quietly relaxing and killing time in Franky.
Regular visits are rewarded with fresh stock to browse thanks to the quick turnover in quality books. Exchanging new books for your old purchases knocks down the (already good) prices a bit and keeps books shuffling through the store. Selling different books to the store is harder tho; the owner is careful in his appraisals and he'll only buy the best. You won't make much from your books but you'll get more than you would from donating them.
The result is the shelves are filled with more worthwhile books instead of the random quality you find in op shop junk.

Beyond the standard fiction section, you'll be spoiled for choice if you're interested in:
Sci-Fi/Fantasy History/Militaria Classics/Lit Crime/Thrillers
And while they may be smaller, there's a wide range of other sections like kids' choices for example, or stacks dedicated to art, poetry, and philosophy/science, all rivaling the largest in density of quality choices. Careful searching in any section can surprise you with rare, unique, and interesting books.

The owner himself is a top bloke, always willing to help if he can, I couldn't think of a complaint about the customer experience if I tried.
Even just in general I have no real complaints.uhhhh, I wish it was bigger and had even more books? It can be a little stuffy in summer? I mean, they even accept card payment these days.

It's just a small, super comfy used bookstore.
It's.nice, a nice place to be.
If you have time to spend quietly perusing the shelves you won't find a better used bookstore in Frankston.
