Foxeys Hangout

Great experience. Staff were amazing and modified the sample menu to be gluten free for me without any hassle. All the food was delicious and the wine was by pretty good too. Highly recommend for a delicious casual meal.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having lunch today at Foxeys Hangout at Red Hill, which was truely amazing. Starting with the young man that greeted us as we entered the car park who was very informative and explained how the winery worked ie tasting or sit down meals. The whole experience was great, the food / wine, terrific and all the staff were very friendly and helpful from beginning to end. Highly recommend this venue for couples or small groups, we left today with some great memories from a wonderful experience.

We had a lovely afternoon at Foxeys today. We enjoyed a beautiful tapas lunch with a wine tasting. It was good value for money and we were very full! Bread was lovely and as we were seated outside we had a lovely view with complimentary blankets which was such a beautiful and cosy touch. Our service was friendly and very attentive. Only cater to groups of 4, so not suitable for bigger groups. I highly recommend

As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour of Victoria, I ventured out for a day in the Mornington Peninsula, and with the 9th and final stop of the day just managed to sneak in here before closure, very grateful to the staff that made the time to quickly get me through a tasting and walked away with a bottle of 2022 Pinot Noir. Lovely venue.

The kitchen is part of the dining area, seperated by a bench. I like the openness and the smells of fresh baked bread and delicious foods are mouthwatering.
The bread with pistachio was absolutely delicious, mushroom wrapped in vine leaves, and the avocado with walnuts and pancetta were so delicious.

My partner and I tried to cover the wines with having both red and white tasting flights, whites were really good, I like the sparking rose and sparkling white the most. With the reds, I really enjoyed the scotsworth farm pinor noir and Shiraz. Loved the wines so much that we joined the wine club.

Highly recommend visiting, but as it can get busy and as the dining space is a bit more intimate, I'd recommend booking in advance.

The food is magnificent. Would have given 5 stars but didn't have much in the way of non alcoholic drinks. Bit hard if you're the designated driver.

Great venue - relatively small and not as hectic as some of the larger wineries in the area. Staff are always delightful. The wine is always excellent and the food was superb.

An absolute gem in Red Hill! A nice chill winery with splendid outdoor dining that overlooks the rolling hills of the winery. Pictures simply don’t do it justice!

Some wineries can be a bit pretentious and make you feel uncultured. But this winery just makes you feel at ease and welcoming. The hospitality is friendly+not overly pushy!

They have a $42 lunch feed me option which is superb! It focuses on simple quality ingredients done really well. They don’t try to screw around with ingredients like some fancy places tend to do. It’s simply just yum produce treated with a bit of tender love and care ️! You will end up with a full belly and very satisfied.

We had some of the best quail here. I’ve never had quail that succulent and juicy before! The burrata and cucumber was so refreshing as well!

They have $20 wining tasting flights which allow you to sample the best from the region.

Foxes hangouts is our favourite winery thus far and we’d for sure come back a second time! Come when it’s between 20-25 degrees outside and get a seat outside! Do yourself a favour and get the feed me + a wine tasting. You will not be disappointed!

Very enjoyable - excellent wine and lovely food. A nice change of pace with the varied small plates.

It is a small, unassuming place. Lovely views and atmosphere. Wonderful for a relaxed afternoon out whether its wine tasting or just having a glass and enjoying the tapas style food. Our waitress was attentive, helpful and I cant praise the service enough - exceptional. Great place to take your friends, you will be delighted.

We arrived at Foxeys Hangout without expectation and left very impressed. The casual dining room overlooks rolling hills and orchards. The venue includes outdoor seating that would be magnificent on a warm day. They only cater for groups up to 4 and don't accept reservations - so arrive early. The kitchen is part of the dining room and is only separated by open shelf benches. The pleasant aromas of the cooking permeated the venue but it was a bit smokey when we visited. The menu is simple and highlights seasonal local produce. If you choose the chefs selection (I highly recommend this option), the heavier courses are interspersed with a lighter course which lends to a very pleasant balance. Each course is simple with a fine focus on heroing the wonderful fresh ingredients. Dessert options include some cheeses including a double cream cheese with fine sliced apple that was to die for. A good selection of local estate wines are available by the glass at very reasonable prices and with the option to buy a bottle or two to take home. The service is casual, friendly and professional. Highly recommend a visit to Foxeys Hangout.

We did a wine tasting in July 2022 - it was great! Wonderful smaller family cellar door with wonderful wines. They were OK to do just red wines for a tasting, and all were delicious. Definitely worth a stop on a wine tasting trip.

We arrived just before midday. They had a kid at the gate who asked us how many was in our group, we had 7 including 3 kids. The kid told us that they couldn’t accommodate us, even though the restaurant was not yet full. We asked if we sit at separate tables and was told no because we would talk to the other table which would be disruptive? Never experienced this before. Very confused and disappointed in this.

Despite the empty tables, my group of 7 and I were turned away as they won’t accept tables over 4, even when we offered to split up. Would of happily spent $$$ but had to wait 45 minutes for our taxi and sit around the side in a paddock

Every visit is magical, awesome wine, awesome food, awesome service and the most generous cheese plate I’ve ever had, great value. A must visit winery on the Peninsula, get there early from 11am to ensure you get a table. Great for couples, small groups of friends, and families.

Great selection of food, the ‘leave it to us’ menu is a must! Great fresh flavours and filling! Blankets provided for outdoor seating, so cosy. Will be back with friends.
