Fountain Gate Tennis Club reviews
3Excellent tennis programs and even better coaches! Our daughter looks forward to coming here every week.
NOT RECOMMEND!
We hired a court, but the place was closed during our session. The guy (Simon) doesn’t pick up his phone.
I do not recommend this place to anyone. (just informing that I had previous experience with the club spanning from 2015-2017). It is an undeveloped organisation, it is very expensive, welcoming is not guaranteed to all players and there are other attributes that contribute to the unsatisfactory result of the club. The undeveloped organisation, as I refer to it, capacitates 6 tennis courts all constructed of the same material, which prevents members playing on a variety of courts. The tennis courts also accommodate excessive sand particles on a daily basis. Consequently, it does not look appealing to the human eye, and it prevents the development of a thrilling and exciting game (rapid movement of legs and appropriate rotation of ball are suppressed). I was participating at competitions and heard my team (consisting of 4 additional players, the coach and manager) backbiting about the other team. This is a clear example of disrespect and unsportsmanlike behaviour. (this action was committed on several occasions, also by the team players, which does not demonstrate any characteristics of a true leader). Accepting members of the club was not always a commitment. From my experience with the club, I was unfortunate to be turned on. An incident occurred that put me off, and that was excluding me. The club though that it would be wise enough to train in teams, and so the decision was pursued. Later during the weeks, I somehow managed to find out that my coach did not include me in the team training sessions, and informed the rest of the team to not acknowledge me. This was kept a secret, until one of the team - mate's slipped it out of his mouth, stopping half way through, before realising his mistake. I was shocked! Another incident included the lack of my attendance to training sessions due to the abundance of my education. When I played on the weekend as per competition schedule, I was questioned regarding my absence quite frequently. Abruptly, the team turned on me, and I felt excluded in all aspects of creating a team, such as team mates avoiding me; not talking to me. This, I strongly believed, was a request from the coach. Oh, and lets not forget how expensive it is. ($25 min per training session which lasts for 45 mins). There were other unpleasant incidents at the club which I will not mention. By the way, this is the only club that has not respected me. Please take my advice, I really hope you people do, because this club is just.evil.
