Foster Golf Club

I was in a group called MUGS, that play every Wednesday from 4: 30pm at Ranfurlie Golf Club in Cranbourne during daylight saving, but once per year go away to Foster Golf Club from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon, playing 45 holes overall. We enjoyed all meals at the Golf Club, they have packages available for such social groups. The course is clay based fairways, we played in early March, the course is very good, has very large Australian Native Gum trees, lining all fairways and they certainly looked after us very well indeed, l HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLAYING GOLF AT THIS CLUB. The have meals for lunch and dinner normally, but for us ONLY they supplied breakfast as well, have a bar and pokers, big porch, if that’s what you like as well.

My Social Golf Group come here every year in March from Friday to Sunday for a Boys Golfing Weekend. We all had a Great W/E here, some of us arrived on Friday morning paid ourselves for lunch and played 9 holes at our cost. But the remaining W/D we had 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts and 2 lunch’s and 2 rounds of 18 holes all for $140 each. Accommodation was cheaply provided at local caravan park. The course is a fine typical Country Course, with Beautiful Mature Gum Trees lining every fairway and surrounding every green. There is a comprehensive bar, normally lunch and dinner meals available, pokies, a beautiful porch and outside smoking area provided. Very friendly Management and Staff, I Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We really enjoyed our meal tonight, beautiful cheesy garlic bread, Big Tom, lambshank, two fish and chips, very good chips! And nice and warm on a cold evening with great access for less able people.

Had one off the best Porterhouse Steaks in a long time, great country service. My partner she had the Chef's special Salmon and couldn't fault it. Would definitely go back.

We visit regularly but tonight was disappointing.
I ordered a Seafood Marinara…. There was no sauce on the spaghetti, and it was a little over cooked and oily and the rocket had no dressing at all. The seafood was ok. For over $30 it was very disappointing and certainly not worth it at all. We did complain to the waitress who said she’d pass it on to the chef, but no feedback from her.
My husband ordered chicken schnitzel which was good but the vegetables (carrots and broccoli) were raw making them inedible.
Considering it was my husband’s birthday we were very disappointed as this used to be our ‘go to’ restaurant.

Very much a hit and miss here. Sometimes they can even stuff up basic Coconut chicken and dry out a rack of lamb. Go with a nice group and enjoy your own good company. At least then you won't be so upset.

Very welcoming and friendly to visitors. Bright warm atmosphere and good variety of meals, some at half size which is a great idea, nicely cooked and presented.

Played in 9 hole competition with 3 local members today and the course was quite challenging. Anyone who is in the area and enjoys the game of golf are quite welcome to try out the course.

On a cold winter's night they had the wood fire going and it was beautifully warm and cosy and it was a great place to come and eat. Plenty of variety on the menu and great tasting food. Highly recommend the Arancini Balls and Gnocci and great that they have half size meals. Very friendly staff. If in Foster and looking for somewhere to eat, definitely go here

The restaurant (19) at the club makes decent meals and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately it's also a pokies venue but they are seperate from the restaurant and bar.

Super expensive & plate 12 chips. Nowhere near as good as Wiggy. $16 for a TINY dessert.no thanks.
Been twice since change of management, all on table dissatisfied.
Lift your game mate, or loose regular locals.

Very pretty course which is well maintained and a fair challenge for the average golfer. Friendly club members and staff. Don’t expect a resort, visit for an authentic old school golf game.

Great atmosphere for their open mike on the last Sunday of the month and great music also- very friendly staff well worth a visit

Always a friendly lot there and the staff always friendly and helpful to newbies like me. Lovely scenic courses well that gas always been in good condition when we have played.

Absolutely beautiful golf course, I even got my 12 year old son to play his first round of golf here. Nice wide fairways for those of us that require them and not much long grass, so it's difficult to actually loose a ball.

Friendly staff and a well taken care of golf course. It is a country course so expect these amenities.

Lovely, straight forward, well maintained, full 18 hole course. No pro shop, go straight to the bar. Carts available

First time visiting this venue. Friendly covid safe service. Food was above the standard we expected. Thank you for a lovely meal that was freshly prepared and cooked. We will be back

We LOVE Wiggy's! His food is always so delicious, fresh and creative. We cannot wait to get back into the restaurant, albeit we still loved the take away meals.

Great country golf course. Nice and tight and small greens. Good challenge. Very friendly staff with nice club room.
