The customer service was excellent and Cath was so helpful and knowledgeable that we were able to select the right bed for us. A friendly and positive experience that allowed time for us to ask questions about what we needed.

Forty winks had exactly what I wanted.
Cath was efficient & kind & personable. She personally picked up the folding bed I desperately needed. She gave me the best price she could and offerred to bring it in her personal car to my house. She even lifted the big thing into my car in the end. I couldn't be more grateful. I got exactly what i wanted, when i wanted in the way I like to be treated.

Bought a Sealy mattress, extremely comfortable. Only issue was when I bought it online, I didn't get confirmation about when it would be delivered until 8 days later, quite frustrating.

Lovely sales girl, very helpful and delightful with our purchase however from there on it’s been all down hill possibly the worst customer service I’ve encountered in a long time from a store. The Fitzroy store refuses to take any accountability for their mistakes and the “bosses” use the sales to deliver their poor decisions that they won’t take accountability for their errors. We live local to the Fitzroy store so naturally we would want to collect from here but they arranged for us to collect from Burwood which is miles away. This wasn’t picked up until we actually called to check on eta, myself and partner have spoken to I think 4 staff there on different occasions and told a different delivery date to Fitzroy store. We then arranged for our pick up for Monday as we were told it would arrive on that day to then be told next phone call it would not be there until Tuesday and that the bosses had made a call that of we wanted it on the day they said it would arrive we would have to pay their $80 delivery fee. We certainly will not be returning for any other business we had intended and won’t be recommending our local store to anyone in future. If it were my choice I’d get my money back and purchase the same mattress else where just to make a point on their low level service. Never again 40 winks, NEVER!

We ordered a new bed base and bed head through Forty Winks at Fitzroy. From walking into the door for the 1st time to the delivery of our order (1 week earlier than expected) the service from all the team has been excellent. Sam and Cath in the store showed the patience of true professionals as we selected the material for the items. On top of great service was a very competitive price. Sam from the delivery team communicated throughout the delivery and the arranged time. I'll have no hesitation in recommending this store for your bedding requirements.

Terrible experience with this store. Our bed was ordered more than 8 weeks ago and we have still not received it. Horrible communication, we've had to call them over 5 times to find out what was going on, they never called us back and when they did, they appeared to have "misplaced" our order form. When organising the delivery for the bed we were told it would be difficult as we were on the "other side of the river" in Carlton despite the store being located in Fitzroy, we were told they deliver to the east suburbs first. Would not recommend this store to anyone!

I walked into Forty Winks a few days ago after work and was just going to look around for a bit but I ended up buying a $1500 mattress. I've had a serious back injury in the past and have put off buying one but I wish I had sooner. I've had the most comfortable sleep I've ever had in years, now I actually look forward to going to bed. Absolutely stoked.

Overall, my experience was very poor and I would suggest spending your time and money elsewhere.
The bed was delivered a week late (3 weeks from purchase). Each time I called, I was advised it would be there very soon, so I assume they have very poor visibility into their supply chain.
I requested free delivery as to make up for the inconvenience and was treated as though I was asking an impossible question. Due to the lack of people skills held by the staff, it was a really unpleasant conversation where the store manager was getting heated and rude.
When the bed arrived, it had a mark on the head board and 1 screw was missing from the pack.

I recently had the pleasure of making my second purchase from this store. Once again I had the same great experience I enjoyed on the previous occasion. My previous purchase had been some bedroom furniture. This time around it was a Bed & Base. The staff were friendly, certainly knowledgeable about the products and offered very helpful advice to assist me in making an informed decision. It's not easy to decide on what bed suits best and I made three visits back to the store before I made up my mind. When I did the usual 'shopping around' for price comparisons I knew I was getting a decent price at this Fitzroy store. I won't hesitate to visit them for my third bedding-related purchase when the time comes.

I have been most impressed with all staff at Forty Winks Fitzroy, especially Kath who was most helpful with my recent purchases. She gave good advice and I felt no sense of being coerced into buying.
Sam, who delivered the good was likewise most helpful and pleasant.

Just purchased my mattress from this store and received great service and prompt delivery. The staff are friendly and go out their way to help with no pressure. I Definitely come back again.

Such a poor service went to buy stuff after 2 days changed our mind lost 309 dollors in deposite

Guys never pop in to fitzroy store a guy named paul is there to rip you off the next day you will be crying like me but it will get no where as every single store is owned privately and its nothing to do with head office
