Forty Winks Brighton reviews
11Jill was fantastic helping me choose my mattress. Really enjoyed the whole experience and would highly recommend 40 Winks Brighton, Jill and Simon, to everyone! Great service.
Purchased a queen mattress from Forty Winks Brighton today. The lady was brilliant. I had an idea of what I wanted & she made some suggestions to help me decide. There was no pressure to purchase or try more expensive mattresses. The purchase was quick & easy & then she said it could be delivered today. Amazing service! The 2 men who delivered the mattress were also great. Fantastic experience from beginning to end.
The guys here went absolutely above and beyond for us and we are so grateful. The whole experience of purchasing a bed and then having it delivered was super easy, even through some delays due to COVID shutdowns they persisted to get our bed to us as soon as possible.
Great experience. Simon was very helpful, and patiently ran through all of the options available with us on two occasions, taking into account our budget and objectives. We found a wonderful bed at a competitive price, and delivery was on-time and professional.
Simon is really great person and he is very understanding. Good knowledge and really professional.
Classic retail fail that only continues to drive online purchasing promoting a sale that has gotchas you only find in-store verses online. Interesting how 40 Winks have everyday prices below $1000 as the deals they offer are only on selected brands that you need to be in-store to see once you have been disappointed that the sale promoted is not what it seems - thanks for reminding me that only online sellers cannot play like that and are better to support.
Do not buy the mattress there. I was wishing to return the mattress one day later even before it has been delievered and the seller refused for the reason of "already manufactured for you". The old male seller then looks like a rascal and was like to say: "We just don't do it, what can you do? " Their attitude will change rapidly just after you have purchased. Finally the mattress I got is uncomfortable and having an odor of chemical materials.
Cannot fault them for Customer Service. Some other organisations should take a leaf out of their book when it comes to dealing with potential customers. We spent a very long time in store, having made no indication that we were going to purchase anything, which did not deter Jill, and later Simon, from providing top-class, patient and extremely helpful service in assisting us in choosing the right bed.
Excellent post purchase customer service. Forty Winks Brighton represented us fantastically with an extremely stubborn manufacturer, who initially refused to repair or replace a faulty mattress. After a direct intervention by the Forty Winks Brighton owners, our mattress was fully refurbished to spec.
I had three major issues through my experience.
First, they said they had stock and delivery in 2 weeks would be fine - until Tuesday before when I rang to check up, they never dispatched it from Sydney to Melbourne. When they did receive the stock, I no longer had a hire truck so got stung $80 for delivery.
Secondly, the packaging was very poorly designed, to taking *600 litres* of waste for one bed. That's compressed cardboard (120l or a small waste bin) and foam (480l or 2 large wheelie bins). This is an atrocious waste and could have been better designed.
Thirdly, when constructing 4 of 12 bolts failed. The quality of the timber is so weak, that the bolts simply wore out rather than digging in. This has compromised the strength of the bunk.
Today I had a bed delivered to my place, only to find out that the model we had bought did not come with lights under the bed as showcased originally by the salesperson.
At the time of purchase, we were assured that the lights did come with the bed and would be part of our order as that was the selling point and main reason why we bought the bed.
When we called the store to inquire about the matter, they denied that that had been part of the deal and that 'we had assumed' it did come with the bed in a rude away and there was nothing they could do about it unless we paid $180.
Extremely dissatisfied with the overpromise and underdelivering.
