We had a very relaxing weekend away. Great location for a couple's retreat. Was nice to walk across to the general store for breakfast supplies and have yummy dinner options literally on the guest house doorstep. Lake Elizabeth is a lovely local walk too. Only complaint is bed was a bit firm for my liking but apart from that accommodation was very comfortable with everything needed and lovely surroundings.

I had a lovely winter stay with my dog. The Lake Elizabeth suite was warm and comfortable. It was perfect for one person. The location is great in the centre of town. Also close to lots of lovely walking trails.

We ran out of fuel outside Forrest Guesthouse and the staff were so helpful and accommodating to us in our time of need.

Hi
I really want to thank the lady who helped me on 6th Thursday night. I was so frightened with the unfortunate event happened that night if you were not there anything could have happened. I didn’t get the chance to say “thank you” personally but found this way. Will always be so grateful.
THANK YOU
Stay blessed

Thin walls. You can clearly hear your loud neighbours next door talking, walking, running.etc. If visiting during school holidays, you should expect to be waken up ealier or barely get arvo nap.
A beautiful place, great customer service with a good restaurant at the front. Beautiful garden with a cute veggie patch.
Relaxing vibe small town with great jogging track.

We had a truly wonderful and relaxing stay at Forrest Guesthouse, which was far too short. Our hosts were warm and friendly, but also gave us privacy and communicated clearly about the details of our stay.
A lovely dinner at the onsite restaurant Dar Teta and then a short walk across the road in the morning for a quality coffee from the Forrest General Store.
We enjoyed our breakfast on the decking with a view of the garden before heading on our way through the picturesque farming region.
Forrest Guesthouse is a quiet unexplored gift of Victoria - and a gateway to the Otways and Apollo Bay.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. The room was well appointed and the ambiance superb. We enjoyed a few drinks by the fire pit while the kids played on the lawn. Michelle couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place to stay. Hosted by the extremely friendly and welcoming Michelle and Kingsley. Rooms are very cosy and well equipped. The garden and bird life are definite highlights too.

Beautiful location & lovely little town. Room had everything you needed & was very comfortable. The balcony was great to sit out in the morning & overlook the garden & watch the visiting kookaburra!

My husband and I stayed in Forrest for 4 nights / 5 days at the Forrest Guest House. We rented the Lake Elizabeth Suite, it's a cozy 1 bedroom fully functional with basic amenities included. We loved staying there, it is the perfect getaway if you're looking for a retreat location - Forrest Guesthouse is a hidden gem!

The accommodation is quite central to the area, it is close to the main trails and attractions in Forrest (ie: The general store, forrest trails, bike trails, brewery, Dar Teta.etc). The best features of this accomodation are the butterflies and the birds in the morning, you are surrounded by beautiful lush greens and you wake up to the sound of nature.

During the day you can easily travel to other areas around Forrest (ie: Anglesea, Torquay, Lorne, Apollo Bay etc.) Then come back at night time to a beautiful accommodation under the stars, light up the fire pit and have a glass of wine.

Michelle is an excellent host, easy to communicate via emails and text messages. She puts a lot of care and detail in the accommodation room (ie: there's a file that tells you what to do in the area and around, coffee and tea in the room, the clean towels, the frame on the wall representing the name of each room & the trail location of the area.etc)

Overall, we had a delightful time in Forrest and we would highly recommend this place!

A wonderful place to stay. Very accomodating hosts and rooms that are completely fitted out with all you need for a comfortable relaxing time away. Great even for young families as the room size is big enough and the gardens provide ample play opportunities. Highly recommend.

This is the place to stay when in Forrest. Beautifully presented rooms with all you need and the added bonus of being so close to the mtb trails. Can't wait to visit again.

I brought my aunty and uncle here while they were visiting from Ireland. Michelle could not have done more for us, she went above and beyond to make us feel so so welcome. She took us to see the waterfalls, which we absolutely loved. (Our car could not have handled the terrain en route!) The rooms are beautiful, the garden, the general store across the road had delicious coffee and snacks. Such a gem! Thanks Michelle!

Forrest Guesthouse was everything we needed for our short stay and was the perfect spot for us to venture to Lake Elizabeth for a hike. The room was beautiful and very comfortable and we really enjoyed our breakfast treats. I would definitely want to come again, thanks for a great stay Michelle (and your two little helpers).
