Forrest Brewing Company reviews
53Brilliant pet friendly pub, super nice staff, great food and beer with a great atmosphere. Humans and parrots all welcome!
I really enjoyed this place, was lovely people, good food for good price, nice place to get food while driving through!
Great grub, excellent service and most importantly refreshing brews. The Halloumi Fries, Vege Burger & Chips are a standout - Complemented perfectly with the Red Irish or Pale Ale
I heard about the brewery from a YouTube video and the way this person spoke about the town made me want to visit, I’m so glad we did! After a long drive down the Great Ocean Road we arrived in Forrest and were met with the most friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. There are blankets available for dining outside (which we did) and plenty of space inside if you prefer. My partner loved the craft beer selection and on a cold, wet, wintery day you can’t pass up the roast! It was a little pricey ($75 for 2) but I would happily spend it again for the quality of food and experience. We later visited again after a terrible experience in Apollo Bay and grabbed coffee for the drive home to Melbourne. Coffee is 10/10 as well and the staff again were so friendly and offered more information for me about the town and options for future stays along the GOR drive! Definitely recommend a stop here, the town is beautiful and the brewery can match the quality of any inner Melbourne dining. Thanks FBC for a fantastic experience!
A brilliant stop for lunch when we were road tripping around the area earlier this year. We tried to come back later for a pint but they had closed - however the owner was still about and kindly sorted us out with some bottled beers so we could sit outside in the sun with them anyway! Thank you:)
Cappuccino is awesome, also tasting palette is just amazing, great place to visit and very friendly staff
Coffee is fantastic, worth a stop in itself.
The beer, also fantastic! Untamed turkey was delicious.
The location, near on perfect! I could sit and sip beers all day.
The food was the weak point.
Pork belly was tender and juicy but lacking flavour, taters weren’t cooked through but saved by the charred greens on the side.
The fish was soft (not in a good way) the batter was thin and moist which made the chips go limp.
The salad was less than fresh with no dressing.
Overall a lovely place worth a visit for a coffee or a yummy beer.
We stopped here after staying in Apollo bay on our way to Halls Gap. The breakfast was incredible, best we’ve had in years! Friendly staff, quick service, cosy and warm
Absolutely amazing food, staff and the asthitic was so relaxing and inviting. Definatly coming back!
Wonderful food, drink and speedy, friendly service. The jerky on the butcher's board was amazing. Reasonable prices and friendly staff - not sure I'd want to see three blokes crammed in to that bathroom though! Don't ask for directions to Lake Elizabeth, unless you want a tour of the reservoir ;) It was still a nice walk. Friendly spot for young families, so expect a little noise. Would recommend overall, good spot.
The strawberry beer is so good! Everyone is so friendly and such a cool place to stop and have local beers and nice food ️
We had chicken katsu, salmon, a beer and coffee for almost $80. Stopped here after going for a walk at the Lake Elizabeth.
Also took away a pack of 4 beers made at the Brewery. Cool place to stop by for some food if you are in the area.
It's a magical place within the forest. Located half an our from Apollo bay and one hour from Geelong. As the name suggests, their core product is low batch crafted beer (see photos for the list of beers they brew), but they also deliver veriety of meals for breackfast and lunch. The ambience is magic which I would never miss whenever I am in 50km radius of this place.
Coffee and cheesecake ($8.00 was a bit pricy for a small piece of cheesecake) after a ride around the coast sitting in the sun with lovely staff. Nice stop will do it again.
Great location, great food, friendly staff
We came in on our way to Apollo bay and the staff was so nice and we felt welcomed. The owner Matt is very approachable and great person would have 5 out 5
We've previously had some burger which were delicious. This time we had coffee and cake, the caramel slice and mint slice are next level!
Great atmosphere, great beer choices, awesome food & friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.
Irish red ale should have body, strength and smooth malt finish. This tastes just like average beer mixed with soda. Please don't insult the Irish, call it something else. Unfortunately the review page doesent allow for no stars.
Last but not least. As our friend recommendation, we visited @forrestbrewery for their strawberry beer
LOVING IT!
And it was our first time eating poutine too and we already planning to come back for it!

Really friendly staff who were happy to share their knowledge and recommendations of the local area with us. Food came out quickly and was great. Can highly recommend the chicken karaage with a pint of the red ale, and the kids tell me the F&C was quality too.
