Foreshore Reserve reviews
21Nice place to unwind plenty of seating just watch the parkimg inspecters there brutal there.
Such a beautiful place to enjoy the views, the bay, and the sunshine. We often head there with our dogs for picnics or a stroll along the bay.
We had picnic on the cliff edge and it was so lovely. The views are gorgeous and you can see the city skyline from there in the distance. It can get pretty windy and cold so take a jacket. It seems like a great spot for wind surfing as there were plenty of people doing that. There's lots of parking and a few benches for seating.
Absolutely stunning views. Easy to get to via train and a stack of greta options for lunch/dinner. Definitely worth a day trip
Good view Worth it because of the cottage. However, the beach is full of algae and the water is not that nice + it smells a bit. There is a small dog beach off-lead in front of the huts
This was one of the beach I use to do night swimming causally.
Unfortunately, the sea water was not as refresh as many years ago. But I still enjoy to look at the ocean there to empty my thoughts.
It is indeed one of the best foreshore for watch sunset. I recommend this place that you must go to amount all the cost along Melbourne bay.
A beautiful shaded area to start your trip down the Bay Trail.
There is ample ticket parking - not free and a bit expensive. You can use the Easypark App to make sure you get the right amount of time parking. Very simple to use.
Beautiful view. Not far from Dendy St and Brighton Beach and the Brighton Bathing Boxes.
Great place.good for dog lovers! People should have the dogs on leash though, but 90% of them had them running around which scared kids.
Prime example of Australia’s amazing beaches, parking available but cost involved, local laws checking regularly.
Often an ice cream truck on site.
Short walk north of here leads to the Bathing boxes for those wishing to see them and snap a photo.
Situated with the war memorial and lookout point attached.
Worth the visit.
Lovely beach-side walk, decent sections where you’re not sharing a path with cyclists so you can relax a bit more. Good parking options and great views back to the city.
I visit here every week. I love this beach in Brighton. Sometimes just sitting in car and watching the sea during a cold weather.
Beautiful spot. Packed with wildlife and native flora. Very well kept and has a nice restaurant near by. And toilets. Good spot to eat your lunch weather pending it a awesome spot to sit and take in some fresh air.
Less popular beach than those immediately north and south of Holloway. Great choice for protection from N or S winds
On a sunny day this place would be idyllic wirh photographic viewing opportunities in 280° from The Bolte Bridge with Spirit of Tasmania Port Melbourne to Brighton bathing boxes to Green Point. STUNNING seriously stunning! Plenty of benches, picnic tables, beach access, 120yr old trees, canon Boar War memorial!
Clean and beautiful beach. I like it more than its famous sister a biut to the North. The vew is nice, the water is clean, the sand is tidy. There is also not so many people on a hot day. Makes it a perfect familty friendly beach.
Certainly changed since my days of growing up. 6.00 an hour parking a bit rich. We used to go to the beach every night and certainky longer than an hour. Would not be able to afford that now. Didn't bother staying, would have liked a walk on the beach, probably 15 minutes at my age. So we settled for an icecream which cost us 18.00.the car park was very clean and patrolled by parking inspectors
A definite must visit by the beach. There are plenty of great views - sunsets on clear days are just amazing! The city and bathing boxes make a good backdrop.
There are a good number of tables, benches and grassy areas to sit down, enjoy the view and perhaps a snack. There is enough parking too.
Tip: Parking is free before 8AM and after 8PM.
For a Melbourne beach it was quite nice, it was spacious and what was calm. But nothing contends with rural Vic beaches.
It was lovely on the foreshore. The beach is clean and easily accessible. If you don't have a parking permit be sure to purchase your ticket as you will get an infringement! Even late on Sundays
