Steak sandwiches were amazing! The steak was soft and tender. My partner and I also ordered a milkshake and the gentleman was kind enough to give us the extra milkshake in a separate cup as well. I would highly recommend a visit here!

For Heaven’s Steaks, Clayton

Located on a small shopping strip on the busy Centre Rd, I’ve driven past this place countless times with the same thoughts going through my head “Maybe next time”. After a long while, I finally decided to give it a shot.

At first glance, this place looked like a cafe more than a restaurant. The interior looked a bit run down with a bunch of retired Italian dudes sitting around sipping on their espressos.

Okay, enough with the negativity. What about the food? Well, I’m happy to report that it was better than I expected.
The steak was very juicy and was accompanied with roasted peppers, lettuce, tomato, cheese, egg and salami. Chilli sauce is also optional which they make in-house.
The egg could’ve been done a bit better but that’s pretty much my only criticism.
I recommend you dine in and avoid takeaway/delivery because the bread gets soggy if left for too long.

The menu is quite small so you know that their focus are steak sandwiches only.
Two menu items that I recommend are: The Clayton Classic Double Steak Roll and The Italian Classic Double (Steak and Sausage).
Both are priced at $16.

If you haven’t tried this place out, go ahead and try it. Just warning you that it is a bit messy to eat, you hands definitely needs a good wash afterwards.

Best bacon and egg roll I've ever had by far. Have to include the roasted peppers and the chilli of course. Took the family with me to try their menu and no one left a scrap. Love this place.

Easier the best steak roll you’ll find in the South East! This join just used to make them on the side causally until it became so popular they changed their name and started pumping them out daily. Highly recommend the steak or sausage with the lot, extra chilli! Seriously delicious, you’ll leave very satisfied.

Nice STEAK sandwich with that Italian salami and pepperoncini. Superb, worth a visit, we'll definitely be back.

I went in after a long day for the Italian Double, and by the gods it was amazing. Large serve, tons of meat and filling, just an all round great roll. I'm not normally a steak sandwich/roll kinda guy, but I'll definitely be back if I'm in the neighbourhood!

Excellent service and fantastic sandwiches. Today is my son's birthday party, and Paul on the grill whipped up 15 rolls in no time, feeding a large group. The team here comes highly recommended. Make sure you get a jar of their chilli oil too, it's delicious!

If you're looking for an absolute gem then look no further! This place has the best reputation for a reason. The Italian double with a little chilli is a go to favourite for me and if you're on the hungry side you may even go a second steak sandwich.

Along with amazing steak sandwiches they also have a range of their own chilli oil that you can buy and take home.

Great food and fair price for what you get.

Great place to go for lunch, its a little hidden compared to whats around it in clayton but well worth it. Their steak rolls hit the spot every time and the service is quick so you're not left hungry for too long

Parking does get a bit difficult out front when its busy during the day but well worth it in the end

The food was tasty, but not mind blowing. I had high expectations based on the reviews! The sandwiches felt a bit dry and underseasoned. However, after adding the chilli oil they tasted much better. The chilli oil is flavourful and great.
I would probably prefer to take away to dine in. Nonetheless, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The blandest steak roll I’ve ever had. A bit of salt on the tomatoes would be one suggestion. I would have rated lower if it wasn’t for the chilli. I couldn’t finish the roll it was that bland.

Very delicious big steak sandwiches, lots of meat, and they put other things like capsicum, salami, and others.

I've bought like 20+ sandwiches here for my dad because he doesn't request anything else. Great, old school vibe in there. I've never actually eaten these sandwiches but I'm sure they're great.

Quite a nice sandwich overall. The steak is quite thin but they somehow manage to cook it to medium rare/medium which I find quite impressive. I do think however, that the steak could use a touch more seasoning. The sandwich doesn't travel particularly well so it does end up getting a bit soggy if you have it delivered. It would probably be much better if you had it at the store or get takeaway directly from there.

Hands down best steak sanga in all of Melbs. I use to live around the corner and had The Italian Double at least once a week. Now I have to drive over 30 mins, and I do it at the drop of a hat!

Love love love this place! My go to sandwich shop! If you haven’t eaten here you aren’t living!

Love this place great food friendly service value for money. Ladies try the open platter this is my go to.
