Footscray Park reviews
45 Only one visit, for the New Year's Eve fireworks display, which was excellent.
Park is very big and looks good.
No dedicated car parking on the night.
Great location, plenty of parking spots, well-maintained gardens, good for jogging and dog walking
Fun night out for New Year's Eve. 9.30 fireworks display is fantastic. Well run family event.
I've been going to Footscray park for over 20 years, in fact I used to live across the street many years ago. While seeing so much change in Footscray somewhat saddens me I do hope the current work they're doing retains/restores the Edwardian beauty around the water, and especially my secret meditation spot. This park is incredibly underrated.
So many fun things here for the kids. Loved that it's enclosed and the water play is a lot of fun on warmer days
Absolutely breathtaking park for the kids, so many things available to them, skate Park, playgrounds, amenities, access to very safe, massive park for walks & all. Amazingly
My favourite park in Melbourne I'd highly recommend it! Perfect if your dog is reactive like mine because it's very quiet and easy to relax and play fetch in the off leash area. Good for picnics too and for taking gorgeous pictures like this one that I've added:)
Large beautiful park with riverside walk and bike path. Limited parking on Princes Highway (Ballarat Road). Ample parking via Farnsworth Avenue entrance. There’s a dog park opposite the Princes Hwy hill slope so lots of friendly, playful dogs around.
Very manicured. Nice place for a picnic. There is also a house near by that has a big pot with goldfish in it, and other cuties.
Lots of parking places and green. Very good family park, on a sunny day like today it was idyllic and even had someone playing flute.
The Park is well maintained but surprisingly there are power towers running through it. Maybe they can be moved to provide a more healthy environment?
This time I get to go only to the northeast side of Park and trust me it's beautiful.
Well paved cyclicling and walking tracks along the river makes you enjoy nature.
Simple and pretty.
I am hoping to get to other side as well.
Mesmerising views.
Loved it
A nice spot accessible to the Maribyrnong River. Memorial to fallen ANZACS. Nice variety of gardens. Pleasant walking. Near the University.
Great activities for the children - climbing, sand pit's, water spray area, slides, picnic space, beautiful Spring flowers etc.
Lovely afternoon.
Great park along the riverside, plenty of open space and trees for a bit of shade. Bring your dog here. There are pergolas and a children's park and a quite pond with a few bridges. Also a bit out outdoor gym equipment, public toilets and bbqs too! Great for families!
Truly appreciate this park. Winding bike paths, plenty of grass area and multiple parks for the little kiddies to enjoy. The xylophone in the main playground offers a pleasant reminder to look around and take it all in.
All of this against the backdrop of the river. Grab the picnic gear and head over.
I'm a jogger, so I love it, there is a massive oval near by, with skate parks, and more, just refreshing, awesome view as well.
For more than 100 years this park has been the peoples park of the west, with beautifully maintained mature gardens, a great place for a little exercise, or simply relax and have a picnic or BBQ, and perhaps a drink or two
Fantastic playground with a variety of equipment for all. Has a flying fox, sandpit, musical toys, toilets, parking close by. Lovely surrounds looking onto the river but fully fenced for safety.
