The Footscray Market is big market in the inner west of Melbourne. Being very close to the train station makes it very easy to go and visit. Prices in the Footscray market are marginally lower than you would find anywhere else. The market has unique smells in different places where you walk through. Overall the Footscray market is a place that I would recommend to someone who is looking to go to a market.

Came shopping here to get a few kilograms of pork. Was able to get what I wanted at a price I was happy to pay. I think that next time, I will come on Saturday afternoon when sellers are wanting to get rid of stock.

Best place in the western suburbs to buy fresh meat and seafood at reasonable prices. Highly recommended this place to save some money on buying groceries. Best time to visit is before 9am.

Lots of fresh vegetables shop. Lots of varieties and much cheaper compare to coles/woolies.
Do note many shopes get closed around 4: 30pm So even if you go around 4 they would be packing up and you may not find what you looking for, so better arrive early. Same goesnfor start of shops. Google time 7 is not accurate market starts around 7 but for shoppers convinient time is 7: 30am.

Central footscray is a disgrace, like 3rd world country. The market had few stalls open, and many of the ones open had questionable hygiene. The market used to be fantastic a long time ago but I won't be back.

Great value meat, seafood and veg. Also has some variety stores inside. Not as trendy as other markets.

Market is still pumping as usual. Plenty of fresh fruit, veggies, meat and seafood. Well worth a trip.

Feels more like a market in another country. Nothing like South Melbourne or Queen Vic or even Prahran market.

Sorry not my pick for fresh produce for the prices. Butchers and deli looked pretty good though.

Not as good as little Saigon used to be. I wish the managers would try to put a bit more life into this place.

Good place for Asian veggies.
Quick tip: Go around to check the price of the item you want to get, don’t settle on the 1st place you found it

Always loved to buy my grocery here cause they have foodcourt inside to eat if you're tired and hungry. You can have something to eat and rest a little bit.

Cheap, super fresh veggies, frits, meats, fish. Some of the fish shop has 10- 20 kind of prawns which I've never seen any other markets in Melbourne! Also, amazing ingredients options especially for Asian cuisine. Highly recommended. Clean as well.

Basically a wet market for meat, seafood, vegetables and fruits. It also houses a mix of little shops that sells clothes, cooking utensils, food (mostly Vietnamese) and a little Vietnamese cafe.

A great market, many different and diverse cultures that sell speciality items and foods that sent readily available at other markets.catman

Greek Immigrant and moved here when I was 11. This place was my teen favourite spot, would come for shopping every weekend! Love love love all the food and drinks, merchandise in this place! Best Market in the whole of Melbourne! If you love markets and food from other ethnicities, this and surrounding places are THE place to be at!
