Absolutely disgusted - attended today for a steroid injection on bursitis. Provided full report and scans from Capital Radiology. Was set up on bed ready for injection for 15 minutes waiting for the doctor. Doctor didn't even meet me but told his assistants that he didn't agree with the report and scans provided so wouldn't give the injection. The doctor told his assistants to tell me he thinks it's a tumour - where is his duty of care to follow up and explain to me. He has no background knowledge or medical history of the condition that had already been explored by my GP and resulted in the US report and recommendation for injection. He didn't even check the bursitis with the US - very unprofessional. I hope management of this facility follow up

I was quite upset after getting bad news that I needed a scan and the staff we super helpful and supportive and reduced my anxiety on the day. It was quick and efficient. A big thanks!

This place is horrible, I went in for an internal pelvis scan… it took an hour for 3 people to do the scan. I now can’t walk because at one point the camera was left in while they walked away to get a supervisor… this happened twice. Stay away.

I booked an appointment here for 2: 20pm via phone, was advised to “try be an hour early”.

Arrived at 1: 10pm, unfortunately forgot my referral (that’s on me). Offered to run home and get it advising the time it’d take. Was told this would be fine and to hurry.

Returned at 1: 30 and waited another 10mins in line and was advised I couldn’t be seen due to being late. I advised of the previous conversation and was essentially told it’s not their problem their colleague had told me this. In general their staff were rude on initial phone call and in person. I asked why I needed to be an hour early to begin with which they advised to take contrast (not explained on booking). I spoke with my doctor about it who advised he wasn’t sure why they booked me to have contrast before the scan as it wasn’t requested, I’ve booked elsewhere where it was again confirmed contrast not needed.

Fasted from 8pm the night prior as well.

The staff don’t seem to have a clue on what they’re doing, don’t communicate amongst themselves let alone their customers.

Going by all other reviews it’s the norm here, despite replies from management stating they take pride in their service which they clearly do not.

Had an appointment for my pregnant wife and was told to arrive by 3. We got here at 250 and have been waiting half an hour now. My partner has about 2 litres of water in her and they’ve let 5 people go in before us. Receptionists are rude and doctors don’t keep their appointments, even though I’ve seen about 4 doctors walk around doing nothing
Would not recommend this place

I had an invasive ultrasound here. The sonographer (? Radiologist) was very kind and an excellent communicator. I observed the reception staff communicating with customers that had English as a second language in a professional manner.

Took a day off for nothing. Had to take my mum to 3 different places over the course of 2 months just for an injection. To get this injection there was 3 week waiting period. We get to the appointment they told my mum to go back to her doctor?
Possibly had to wait weeks again. My mum has been in pain for 6 months with no resolve.
Ill have to go to another clinic. Would not go FMIG again, only if I have to.

Great experience! Very attentive work and sanitary environment. I had to get a local steroid injection and was booked for it almost immediately. I called five different Capital Radiologies to book and all of them said November. FMIG had me booked in the next day.
Dr Jason Wong completed my procedure and he answered all my questions and reassured. He was incredibly informed and explained all the steps of the injection clearly.
Jessica was the attendee who helped get me settled in. She had a positive attitude and also answered any of the questions I had.
I felt safe in this environment and I can comfortably say, I will be coming
back here.

Very rude receptionist, asked customer to wear face mask while she was not wearing. The lady who did ultrasound put a lot of gel to do the scan and after she finished she gave some wipes and quickly went away leaving me clean up by myself, very unprofessional practice

Had an appointment at 11: 50 am arrived at the clinic at 11: 45. Reception decided to change my appointment to 12: 30pm and not bother to let me know, allowing three people who came after me to go ahead, mind you I’ve drank 2 litres of water and desperately needing to go to the toilet, worst reception no explanation for why my appointment was moved and why I was not informed. Would not recommend and pregnant lady attend here.

As someone who suffers extreme anxiety, I was immediately put at ease by Peanne with her warmth, bedside manner and over all calming demeanour.
She went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe and comfortable during my scan and I can not express my gratitude enough.
I highly recommend FMIG Sunshine, I will definitely be returning here for any future scans I may need.
Thank you again Peanne!

Worse experience ever.
I’m pregnant 14 weeks and have bleeding, GP refer “urgency pls “Ultrasound. I went there and told them I don’t have any booking see if they can fit me in. One of the receptionist said yes, she can help me and she told me to drink more water don’t go toilet, won’t be long. Here is the story comes, after 8 cups of water and I have been wait for one and half hour! Still not one send me to ultrasound, one of the other receptionist call me to the counter and ask me if I want to hear baby heart for $50, or $230 for check baby well-being. I told her that I’m still bleeding and how long do I need to wait still? And she told me “ not sure”. And my refer letter still behind the waiting list! I told her if she could told me earlier, I could go emergency sunshine already! And she said if you go emergency sunshine you still need to wait. OMG! I ask for money back and went to hospital emergency! Waste my time! And not care of others life!
If you need emergency help, don’t waste your time here

My wife has to do ultrasound. When I booked at FMIG Sunshine the receptionist told me the cost will be $230 with no Medicare refund.

(although I've been told by Capital in front of Sunshine Hospital the cost only $202 and I can claim back $85 from Medicare, but we didn't go there because I can't book for early date)

After paid $230 and finished the ultrasound I came to collect the receipt. The cost now show $330. Then the receptionist told me when I got the cheque from Medicare I have to give it back to FMIG.

It's bizzare why do I have to give the cheque back to them. When I inquired about it she said the cost can be up to $400. What? So how much the cost for the ultrasound? Do I have to pay $230 like when I booked by phone or $330 if I'm not giving the Medicare cheque to FMIG? Or $400?

Is this billing practice legal/acceptable?

Gave me a different price when I book, then charging me more after the procedure? If I want to get the same $220 price then I have to give the Medicare cheque back to them to make the cost less? Is this for real?

Btw just to be fair, the service is good. But when dealing with money, something dishonest is going on there.

Just had the worst experience. The rudest receptionist I've ever encountered. I'd waited 30mins before I asked if the doc would be much longer and this grumpy lady told me it served me right to be waiting because I was supposed to come 10mins before my appt, when in fact I got there 15mins early but had to wait in the queue for 15mins before I get to speak to the receptionist. As soon as she finished telling me that, she badmouthed me to her colleague right in front of my face. I then had to ask twice more before I get to see the doctor. I could tell the disposable paper to cover the patient bed wasn't changed before I got in (all wrinkly) and as soon as I finished with my ultrasound, the doctor didn't even try to remove it for the next patient and instead left the room. How is that acceptable esp with this current covid precaution.

GP referred to this place for a 5 minutes ultrasound scan. Front desk quoted $230 out of pocket! The same exam on medicare website's reference price is $120 and bulk billing is available for this exam. Rang up a couple of other places, it is bulk billed, managed to get one done at the same day from a different provider without fees. They treat patients like cash cow, just double check other places before you go. Also the referral paper will usually be accepted by other radiologists, so don't be fooled by these greedy people

Not a pleasant experience. Took my 9 month old son for an X-Ray. From the get go staff are not entirely friendly or welcoming. Whilst waiting for the X-ray I observed desk staff continually talk down to patients in person and over the phone. The lady that then took my son and I through for the X-ray was curt and also unpleasant. My son was stressed and started crying as we put him on the table for the imaging, and not once did the radiologist show any concern for his well-being and instead barked orders at me to hold him down as though I were her employee. This made for quite a traumatic experience for both the baby and myself. A piece of advice for management at this office - a warm smile and demeanour goes a long way to ensuring an easier experience. The people that attend this clinic are patients with all sorts of possible ailments, and a good bedside manner can make a world of difference. Next time we will travel further for better service.

Receptionists lack professionalism and responsibility from the experienced down to the learner. Except to be treated like a number when you go there.
