FM Karaoke Bar

Went here on a weekday. The machines could not download songs with WiFi, and we can't choose the songs we want. That's almost all I want from a Karaoke place, to be able to choose a song I want to sing.

Pros:
- Shockingly cheap price for karaoke in CBD
- Staff is friendly

Cons:
- Limited and hard to function song system
- Only one screen to see the lyrics from
- Not very clean

The new karaoke system they use is completely broken. The workers had to come in and fix it about 15 times, and were annoyed whenever I went down and told them it had broken again. Useless service ran by guys who would rather be anywhere on Earth than there. Go somewhere else.

If you want a place that has the stickiest floor known to mankind and security who kicks you out in the middle of your final song, this is the place to be. This is unacceptable, especially when the final song is Mr Brightside. The security guard will henceforth be known as Mr Darkside. Absolute bummer. Vibe killed, we were there for a mate's birthday after a funeral and he cried. He didn't even let me pee. He told me to "hold it in sooky la la". Unbelievable. Great songs though

Quite dirty, rooms were way too hot, a 10 person room barely fit 8
Downstairs bathroom was quite dirty and the bar was unpresentable. Staff spoke to us in a foreign language we didn't understand

It's not a good karaoke experience when you place a booking for 7pm on a Sunday ahead of time, explicitly communicating to them over text about the booking time and having it confirmed that the time is fine, and then when you arrive the place is closed. Completely ruined night for myself and my whole group of friends.

I can't say anything about the food, service, or atmosphere, because I didn't even have the chance to experience them. Never going here again, hopefully the next karaoke place I go to actually lets me in through the front door

Made a booking for 10pm for 10, group before us arrived late and upon arrival our party leader was told our booking was pushed back and the room wouldn’t be free until 11pm due to the people before us arriving late.
If they gave us a call or anything to let us know we wouldn’t have left our previous venue for this.
Room we were placed in also stunk and drinks were extremely overpriced.

Poor customer service.

Hardly any songs and then when you choose them they have to buffer for 5 minutes.

Expensive for the poor quality

Great night out with friends.

Even if you are not a good singer give it a go.

Great fun, controls were a bit hard to understand, we were sadly abruptly kicked out at 2pm when they wanted to close up an hour early as there were only 2 groups there.

The most poorly maintained karaoke bar, I've ever been. The aircon was running freezing that even made the whole floor go wet all the time, toilets were dirty wet with pee all around the men's toilet floor and pretty disgusting to enter the place. The whole place doesn't smell good. Will not return again!

Was a bit nervous coming seeing all the one star reviews but my friend and I agreed that everyone was so lovely, staff and security were incredibly helpful, whenever there was an issue they were there to assist straight away. Other than the lack of artists and songs and a few issues with the microphones, we definitely had a great time and would consider coming back

My partner can sing and loves Kareoke, I hate hearing my own voice. This place plays the vocals track so I don't have to listen to myself, making me less self conscious. 100% coming back.

The computer didnt work very well. The bar staff werent helpful at all. We were the only ones there and another couple came in, took over the mike & deleted all our songs.

Good service, kind staff has help me out with picking songs. Not expensive compared to other places

Place was old, karaoke was not too bad as you are able to get the latest songs. However the staff member was extremely rude towards the end. The guy barged the door open without knocking before the time was up. Extremely rude service.

Horrible security, incredibly rude and disrespectful. It's a shame because the staff are nice, but the security make it not worth attending the venue. Furthermore, we were only allowed in 20min after our booking started, and one of the mics wasn't working for most of the booking time.

Worst place I’ve ever been too. Staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. It looked like they hated their jobs. They assumed we were intoxicated and tried watering down our drinks. We paid $18-$20 for cocktails and $10 shots to basically be given juice. They clearly thought we were stupid. We took a sample to give to the liquor licensing department and reported them. Maybe next time don’t assume everyone has been drinking. Their drinks are way over priced too. Someone spewed in the female toilets right at the front door and it took them ages to clean it up. Several people nearly fell over due to that hazard. Very disappointing outcome for that establishment. I dare say they will have some inspectors knocking on their door soon.

Terrible experience. Extremely rude security staff who barged into the room and snatched our mics off us before the allocated time was up. Song selection did not work. Run down equipment which had trouble starting at the beginning. I first started coming to FM over 15 years ago when it was probably under other management and it was a respectful and nice place. Sad to see it go to the pits. Don’t think I’d come back again.

Decent Place! Reasonable pricing on drinks and room packages. Would be better with a broader song database. But pretty decent I would say.
