Flying Horse Bar and Brewery reviews
60Arrived 2 minutes after 2.00pm to be told kitchen was closed. We have dined here a few times in the past but this will be our last visit. No reflection on the staff member who gave us the bad news.
Food was okay but a bit overpriced. $5 for a can of soft drink. Staff were a bit confused but generally well meaning. Kids menu for under 13 only, not teenagers.
Food was terrible was way better 6momths ago. Asked for pineapple added to my parma but was told the kitchen doesn't have pineapple but on the same menu there's a pizza with pineapple.why lie? Just tell me the parmas are all pre made an you can't add pineapple on a pre made parma that you just warm up.anyway it was way smaller than it used to be chewy chicken and had a chemical aftertaste. Horrible. Bar tender was good that's your only saving grace
Every meal was absolutely delicious thank you

Stopped for food on a day trip to Warrnambool and found this place. Great customer service and delicious food. The staff were all friendly and nice. Food was delicious. The food and service Made the trip to remember. I Will definitely go back to this place. They understood the food advise as my friend is vegetarian and had the food served to needs. Thank you.
Great pub with table service (both drinks and food!) Food and service were first rate. Good size serves of quality food.
Garlic & cheese bread was excellent as were the main fish and chips. All of our party were extremely happy with their food and the dining experience here.
Fantastic meal and venue, the staff were unbelievably polite and I couldn't fault the level of service in any way.
Attended with our family of 11. The welcome and the service that followed was first class. The staff were very attentive and helpful. As for the meals! We all had a different selection from the menu (full of mouthwatering choices) and the unanimous comment was “great food & cooked really well”. We are from out of town but we will definitely be back! Well done Flying Horse!
Went for dinner last night, part of a large group, overall the reviews of the food were good apart from two of us that had the steaks. Supposed to be 400gm rump and 300gm sirloin, both cooked medium rare and lucky if they were 150gms each. Spoke to who we thought was in charge but not a lot of interest. So eat but stear clear of the steak.
Terrible pizza cooked on an overheated oven burnt on the outside, soggy in the middle. Friendly service though.
My steak sandwich was to die for! From a chef this joint is the bomb all the looked amazing coming out of kitchen!
It wasn't flawless but will definitely be back, the meals were generous and cooked well (although came out at different times) I can forgive that as it's peak season it was clearly a busy night and they were doing their best. The desert portions were huge (and delicious).
I want to make special note though what absolutely sold it for us to make a return visit was the staff. It was a younger group (younger than us at least!) but seemed to be SO switched on. And when we had a minor hiccup we're quick and eager to resolve and then followed up checking if all is well. Just small interactions and seeing them with other patrons it they sincerely wanted to make it a positive experience, I couldn't be more impressed. Thank you to the entire team that works there you're onto something good.
Great Dinner, Definitely coming back. Waiter with the dreadlocks an absolute legend, gifted waiter.
Just OK. Food was average.not great but not bad. Staff were friendly and the beer was cold. Pub fare as expected.
Visiting Warrnambool and needed lunch and somewhere we could take our dog. Staff were so accommodating and kind and let us into courtyard, switched on heaters, gave our pooch a drink. Small kindnesses count and we highly recommend! ️
The service was not that friendly nor very available. The food was ok. Won't be rushing back.
Great service & food!
Arrived just as the kitchen was closing and they kindly made the effort to push through a few extra meals for us, and nothing felt like a hassle.
Large serving size & delicious.
Food was nice, big portions, had to wait a bit but was worth it and they were quiet busy, i was pretty disappointed I got a call half hour after we left say I didn't pay my bill but when I gave them my reciept number and who I payed they back tracked pretty quickly blaming "technology issues " (lack of communication clearly) apart from that pretty happy with every thing else.
Over the many years my family and i hav Always had Wonderful meals ambience and customer service. BUT this time change of menu with new owners and direction I'm saddened.kids meals no spaghetti Bollenaise? No apple juice? No roast of the day? Wonderful customer service as always. I hope new owners take on board my comments oh and please don't change the saltn' pepper calamari meal as it's the best we have ever had!
Absolutely the worst experience my husband and I have ever had.very rude dismissive and unprofessional bistro staff member.after waiting 65 minutes for a medium rare steak and a Kiev. Will not be back and will be taking it further with management
