Flowerdale Estate

My husband and I chose Flowerdale Estate for our wedding on 21st October 2023 and we are so incredibly happy to have found this beautiful venue! We knew from the moment we drove in the driveway that this was the one and we booked almost immediately!
From the get go, the staff were incredible to deal with. They are attentive, friendly and made the entire process so stress free.
Our day was absolutely perfect in every way and this is a credit to all staff who contributed towards it. The gardens were immaculate, the coordinators were flawless and the serving staff were attentive and helpful. We have been receiving incredibly positive feedback from all of our guests about the delicious food, stunning venue and amazing staff.
Thank you for making our special day the most incredible experience. We wish we could do it a million times over, thats how positive our experience was!

Firstly, Flowerdale Estate is surprisingly just under 90 minutes drive from Melbourne and set on beautiful grounds with onsite rooms, pool, tennis court, conference room and other facilities that make it standout as the perfect place for a wedding or other function.

My wife and I were visiting for the Sunday High Tea and left very full and impressed! Sitting on the verandah we were presented with a traditional high tea stand that was beautifully presented, with each item fresh and made with care.

The stand out was the nectarine tart but all of the items were well balanced and delicious with the generous fresh baked scones a perfect way to end accompanied with a glass of Pimm's.

The customer service from all of the team was fantastic with pre-determined table, regular check ins, remembering our upgrade and explaining the high tea stand.we couldn't fault a thing.

Another observation, sitting on the verandah and looking up and around you could see how clean everything was, no cobwebs etc.so it was obvious the owners take great pride and care in the homestead.

Had organized a social event here and couldn't say better things about the staff and the owner. Great communication all leading up to this event and flawless excution from the staff, they were so flexible with our requests. From an event managers stand point this venue was amazingly organized and responsive in replies. Kim, Marie, Demmi and all the wait staff were great thanks again Flowerdale! We hope to be back next year.

I attended a friend’s wedding and also helped out with setting up during the bump in hours.

Beautiful venue, clean rooms and a very lovely receptionist.
However, everything else left room to be desired. The wedding manager was really difficult to work with as she was quite curt with everyone, including the vendors. During set up I overheard two male staff continually criticising the bride behind her back for her choice of placement for the photobooth (even though this placement was actually suggested by management themselves). During reception, staff also decided to confiscate sparklers without telling anyone, only to slyly return it again at the eleventh hour without informing anyone. When questioned, the staff made up some excuse about it being a fire hazard even though this was previously discussed and okayed by management.

Beautiful venue. Would recommend a getaway but I would not recommend for a wedding.

Gorgeous grounds, restaurant and wedding venue - we’ve been here for a wedding and also for dinner. Enjoyed the ambience. We even fit in a few rounds of pool.

Had a very nice weekend stay.
Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay.
We had all 3 meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All were beautiful.
The dining room was warm and inviting.

Most friendly staff ever, beautiful venue and environment, great food. Recommend it for couples and families!

Lovely country escape with stunning surroundings and gardens. Great for a winter escape. The rooms are ready for an modern upgrade but the country/floral vibe is a bit of fun. The main house has a billiard room which is wonderful fun prior to dinner and the food in the restaurant is amazing. Great customer service and very friendly staff. Breakfast needs a bit more love perhaps a coffee machine, toaster, real tea in a pot and poached eggs are needed. The venue has options for weddings too which would be lovely. A wonderful get away.

Good service and location. Food was decent and enjoyable. In summer will be great spot with all the outdoor space.

Waited 25 minutes after being seated at the restaurant to receive a menu or even be offered a water. Eventually had to ask for menu and some water. It seemed the young staff just forgot about us or were not adequately trained. Had the same treatment when it came to ordering desert. In our room, we couldn't lock the door to the shared balcony, so we had to prop up a chair against it. There was no TV reception, so the T. V.in the room was pointless. No phone in the room or anyone to ask for assistance. No clothing hangers and fridge not turned on. Lovely grounds. Food OK. Took 2.5 hours to complete our dinner due to No service. Had to ask for everything. Disappointing!

Delicious seafood linguini and a warm chicken salad followed by a scrumptious Devonshire Tea with light fluffy scones. Then a walk around the lovely garden. Well worth it.

My partner and I Stayed here for one night for a wedding. It’s a beautiful place and we enjoyed it. Food was amazing and staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms are basic but comfortable and clean, it also has heating, which you need as it can get quite cold here.
I would stay here again. Highly recommend for a wedding venue.

Flowerdale Estate is a magical country escape! It has been the most perfect wedding, restaurant and accommodation venue for us over the past two years. We highly recommend a visit and to host an event here, the grounds, location, team, food and drink are absolutely perfect! We cannot wait to visit again!

I first discovered Flowerdale Estate just before covid hit, and after that was desperate to get back there. I had to wait until we were all released from lockdown, and enjoyed a magnificent lunch with my husband & son on Easter Saturday, April 2021. My husband and I next went back there to stay the night later during 2021 with another couple, and we found it to be the most perfect winter getaway spot - lazing the day away playing billiards & drinking cocktails in the pool room, before enjoying a scrumptious meal in the beautiful building normally used for wedding receptions. Today I enjoyed a long, long LONG lunch there with five girlfriends - complete with a tour of the newly appointed glamping 'tents' by the wonderful Jacob. This place has the most friendly and fun staff and is a must-go-to place! Big shout out to Jacob, Ernie, and the gorgeous Demi (who should be in FRONT of the camera and not behind it!). I'll continue to come back to this place, for sure!

Only arrived this afternoon, and already this is what is wrong with this place, hopefully it gets better tomorrow:
- Can't connect to the wifi.
- No kettle in our room, we had to ask at reception for one.
- No phone in the room, can't call reception.
- Three heating devices, only one heater works properly, the one in the bathroom (one doesn't work, one works intermittently).
- Breakfast dining room hours too short.

It's the bomb, what a fantastic night away, to the owners and the staff, and yes Mel thank you.

Beautiful gardens with excellent facilities. The service and food were excellent. Wish we could have stayed the night as we didn't want to leave.

Excellent conference venue, best vegetarian meals and such great care taken for the historical buildings.

My partner and I got married at Flowerdale Estate on Friday 3.12.21. We could honestly not recommend this beautiful venue highly enough. Not only is the whole property just stunning, the staff were incredible during the lead up and on the day itself. Special thank you to Claire, Demmi and Maria for everything you did to help our day run so seamlessly. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the service and the delicious food (the quality AND the quantity)!

We loved that our guests were able to stay the night & have breakfast with us the next morning. We did have a few miss the breakfast (due to a few sore heads!) and the staff went out of their way to pack them a takeaway box. So many little extra touches that we are so grateful for.

We just had the best day and can't wait to visit again soon.
