First class service and food as always. The Flower Drum never disappoints. Highly recommend it.

Great service and experience. Being from Malaysia have to say I’ve tasted better but by Australian standards definitely wayyyyy up there. Did the banquet.

Special thanks to the head sommelier Terrance for the professional and delicate wine pairing suggestion, the wine is sooooooo good. Super recommend this restaurant to everyone. The fried ice cream and the fried apple were so good that I could have it every day. My friends love the fried noodles and some of them love the soup so much. And last but not least, a secret tips is that you can kindly ask the server for a XO sauce! Which is the best sauce ever! You can dip it with Dim Sum or noodles or veggies, it is a magical sauce that only the insiders know.
We love the restaurant so much that we would recommend to our friends and family or anyone visiting Melbourne

The food is excellent, but today's jellyfish is not very tasty.
Service was excellent, and Derek really gave the best quality of service.
The price is on the high side, and the portion is small.

Classic up market Chinese food. We tried the banquet and it was fantastic. This restaurant has been around for years and the quality and service have remained high. Definitely go again.

You’re definitely paying for the service here. Some dishes are great, some are average. Their lychee cocktail is probably the best I had.

The most exquisite Cantonese cuisine available outside of Hong Kong.
Lost a star because of poor attention to service on our particular visit.
Newbies be warned, it may take a mortgage repayment!

Amazing food and service. The attention to detail was great. Loved the Tom Yum soup and the pork dish. The duck wrap… amazing. The truffle fried rice was an interesting choice but enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Order: Peking duck, shrimp dumpling, sirloin dumplings, crawfish, ribs, gimlet

Verdict: very solid, nothing out of this world. The dumplings and ribs were probably best, actually ribs were pretty great and unique. Gimlet was good too.

Wow. Absolutely fantastic lunch at Flower Drum. The food and service were incredible. Obviously expensive but you don't go there expecting anything less and the whole experience justifies the cost. Portion sizes are generous so you leave feeling super content. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

What an experience! Excellent customer service. Food is great, with the dipping sauce, I found a bit salty. We ordered a 5-course and other dishes, the deserts are amazing, not too sweet. The only downside I would say is the lighting, too dark, especially for elderly who can't see the menu properly.

The flower Drum is one of Melbourne icon restaurants we have dined here on numerous occasions & have always loved it. The restaurant is located at 17 Market Lane.

The Flower Drum offers fabulous fine dining Cantonese cuisine however it's not cheap but is certainly worth the fine dining experience as the staff, food & atmosphere are absolutely outstanding.

Been planning on coming here for a while and was slightly disappointed. Especially after all the hype. Overall the food was just ok, nothing I couldn't get somewhere else for cheaper. I was expecting to be blown away with flavor and plating. The service was also really cold and didn't make my group feel very welcome. The environment seemed a little stuffy. Probably a once off visit for me.

We had a fantastic night for my Mother's 75th birthday; Delicious food, excellent service and a lovely evening overall.

The best meal of our long weekend in Melbourne by far. The scallop dim sum, dragon boat prawn, duck pancakes and candied apple were the highlights. Excellent service and a must visit restaurant.
