Flora Indian Restaurant

I recently go to this restaurant intend of taste Indian food while ask some lady, what they got here then I ordered 2 chicken 65 with goat curry then experienced a lack of assistance, that lady didn’t explain what we are getting and waiting for wrong order and it was disappointing there was all curries not anything to eat. The staff seemed unresponsive to inquiries, making the dining experience less enjoyable and deciding to leave restaurant without eating the food making me paid 60 dollars for nothing i think Improving customer support and knowledge about Indian cuisine would greatly enhance the overall service quality will help this restaurant good future.especially when who come without knowledge about Indian cuisine need to assist for what they getting here. Thanks.

So close to Flinders that you can hop in after attending any event in cbd. Excellent menu and tasty food.

Restrurent service is zero. When the Australian people is come then they give all the things on table. When the indians and Pakistani people come they don’t give the give the things on table and ask them to do by self. When i start eating then i need soft drink then i go and first pay and then get the things and after one minute we need a naan then i go again and pay and get. So i think its not good they treat good with Australian people.

The channa chat was so good! So neatly packed. It tasted delicious. Absolutely worth for the price and a large serve. Made my Friday evening:)

If this place ever closes then I will lose a piece of my heart. Everything on the menu is great but I particularly love their huge biryanis @ $12.

Loved the Tandoori chicken, and Samosa Chat. I often buy Sweets from here (try out the Dhoda and Kaju Katli). First time since in Aus, I had great Dhoda sweets reminding me of India.

Beautiful hospitality and delicious food! Saag that melts in your mouth. The dosas are amazing and chicken tikka is our favourite. Love coming here!

Cheap and delicious indian food in the heart of Melbourne

We had the small thali with cabbage/peas curry, dal and channa masala. The cabbage was truly delicious and the dal was good too. The channa had good flavours but needed to be cooked slightly more.

I also had the aloo paratha. The serving was very large given the price of $5.5. I was happy with it but would prefer a little bit more spice next time.

Loved it. The large meal was sumptuous, serve hot and fresh. The chicken served along woth meal was absolutely fantastic - and I mean it.
Took a plate of biryani along with the meal - wasn't as good as others that I have had elsewhere, but was fairly okay. The sweets were too good.
Overall, a good taste of Indian delicacies on offer.
Recommended if in Melbourne CBD.

A real delight. All dishes were beautifully cooked and the Combination Meals are great value.
Access along the footpath is obscured while Metro Tunnel works are in progress.
The Chicken Chennai is particularly good, when available.

What a find! How have we missed this - just opposite Flinders Station. Absolutely smashing food and helpful, lovely staff! We will be back

Just been to this place and had a Masala Dosa as well as Onion Masala Dosa.

The first Masala Dosa I had was undercooked on the inside and both the Dosas lacked in the taginess. Generally, Dosa batter is fermented for at least 24 hours and this process gives the taginess to the Dosa. I believe this is the most important attribute for a dosa to be tasty. Upon requesting the staff, I received a well cooked dosa for the second time.

Overall, I believe quantity given was good, fair price, great customer service, and a clean as well as a decent place.

Very tasty egg dosa, idly, chicken briyani, dal makhani and kheer. The restaurant may seem a bit old but the food tastes really good. Must try!

Love this restaurants. Best Indian place in the city by far. It’s a (not so little) hole in the wall. Best option is large Tali #1: 2 non-veg, 1 veg and rice woth papad.
They’re constantly changing up the curry options so don’t get to attached to anyone meal, but everything tats yes delicious.
Their curries are GF and know how to take care of you.
They’ve recently replaced some seating areas with a mini shop where they sell all your Indian cuisine needs: masala packs, rice and indont know what else but it’s awesome. Not as great as the curry corner by the market, but still good for the CBD.

What a fantastic Indian restaurant. Real Indian food at amazing prices. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Great tasting curries, naan and appetizers. Also great lassi!
