Flipped Hair Brunswick

First time I’ve ever cut my hair from long to shortish and loved it! I had really long, thin and damaged hair, so decided to chop it off and get a shoulder length “wolf cut”. I thought this time I would go to a decent salon rather than getting a cheap cut as I have done in the past as I wanted to make sure it was done right. I also didn't want to have to style it - I wanted a wash and wear cut. I booked in to see Chris (salon owner) on the recommendation of the lovely guy who took my call and I wasn’t disappointed! She was so lovely and I felt like she really listened to what I wanted. I love my new hair cut, I’ve gone from looking pretty daggy to super modern and I wash it and let it dry naturally and it sits beautifully! Totally awesome and the salon itself was really lovely too. Highly recommend!

I will never go anywhere else to get my hair done. The team is amazing and Cris the owner is a miracle worker. From someone who clearly must be no older than 32, it’s an incredibly impressive establishment

Flipped hair was my first proper hairdresser experience and it's safe to say that I absolutely will not be going back and wouldn't recommend anyone else to go either. The pricing is absolutely ridiculous for the actual results and you end up feeling robbed and upset after your appointment. They don't really listen at all to what you want regardless of whether you say you want a certain thing and it really is disappointing and frustrating. Multiple friends of mine have come to flipped and have been ripped off and completely dissatisfied with the results. When you tell them you don't like the results they try and gaslight you into liking it. FLIPPED IS NOT GOOD DONT GO HERE

As a response to Cristina's extremely rude reply, claiming my review is fake and nasty when in actuality I was sharing my raw experience at this salon with others, I appreciate your perspective, and I'd like to address a few points from your message.

First, the phone conversation we had after my initial appointment, in which I mentioned my contentment, occurred right after the service. At that moment, I may have been more inclined to express satisfaction. However, as time went on, the more i looked at the results, the more i noticed an orange tinge in my hair which was not there prior to getting my hair dyed, this was due to the hairdresser I had using too warm of a tone on me that looked horrendous under any lighting. When expressing my concerns of this to the owner Cristina, she belittled my concerns by claiming that it was regrowth, however my natural hair colour has never had orange in it ever. The color also did not hold up well, leading to the email I sent later.

Regarding the cancellation of my appointment, please understand that life can get busy, and circumstances change, I was also hesitant to go back because of how dreadful my experience was. The fact that I cancelled my appointment does not and should not diminish my valid concerns regarding the service.

I understand your position as a small business and the importance of adhering to salon policies. However, from a customer's perspective, it's also essential for a salon to ensure that its clients are satisfied with the services they've received. It's disappointing to feel dissatisfied and then be met with resistance to rectify the situation.

While I regret that our experience did not meet my expectations, I still believe that my feedback should be validated. I hope you will consider these points for the better of your services in the future.

Best salon in the North!
Both Julian and Cris were absolutely amazing, they listened to my issues and gave my hair the life it needed.
The store looks lovely inside and the customer service is above and beyond x

My usual stylist Julian in Preston was on leave so I headed to Brunswick & Lesley absolutely nailed my hair cut & colour today. A short pixie cut, textured & coloured & got rid of my greys! So awesome, I’ve it! Great atmosphere & products at Flipped!

Absolutely loved the service from Flipped Hair Brunswick. Roxanne was just amazing with what she did to my hair and I cannot thank her enough. She listened to all my requests and helped achieve the look I was going for. The way she styled it was great and I really appreciate the effort and time she put into my haircut. Cannot recommend them enough!

Was taken care of by the wonderful Daniela - she was friendly and professional, and I am extremely pleased with the results of my hair cut! She styled it exactly the way as I normally would at home, so I got to learn some little tips and tricks to make my day-to-day hair care easier!

Underwhelming. Not sure why so many hairdressers struggle with long hair, but this one was not good.

Roxanne was amazing. All the staff helped to make the experience as smooth as possible with a new baby. Thank you!

Extremely disappointing experience. I asked for a wavy blow dry with a reference picture and after almost 1.5hours my hair looked like it had just been straight dried and I was charged $93. I ended up going home and redoing it myself. Personally, I won’t be returning

I got a last minute appointment with Flipped recently to fix a fairly average DIY haircut (don’t recommend this!).
Maddy was a super active listener and nailed the outcome I wanted. They took into account my curly hair and the balance of wanting my hair fixed but to keep as much of the length as possible. I’ll totally be seeking out haircuts from Maddy in future!

Unpleasant experience, came in for a hair extension consultation. Was quoted $1,400 for hair extensions, quote was only valid for 2 weeks. I was then asked to pay $50 for the consultation, I was not told from the start there would be a fee for the consult, very deceiving. I will not be returning.

I’ve had my hair done twice by Katie now. Katie does amazing foils SO quickly, is amazing with colour and does a great cut and wave:) thanks so much. Can’t wait til my next appointment!

Overrated. Don't recommend for blondes.

Full disclosure: I went here after being unhappy with my previous stylist mostly because I wasn't getting the same colour consistently resulting in an uneven tone.

I booked a full head of foils and restyle cut with a master and it was quoted around $400.

I was invited to go in for a free consultation which I thought was great so we could all be on the same page with what I was after.

At the consultation I explained my dislike of the uneven tone and was upsold extra services to sort it out and recommended to get the senior consultant to cut my hair. I was happy to do all that as I felt confident I would get great service.

Unfortunately that's not the case. My hair colour is patchy and still uneven. It is also extremely dry as it was fried due to an extended shampoo bleach that was applied after the initial foils because when they rinsed out my hair it was brassy even though I had warned them during the consultation my hair throws out a lot of red. Despite this the master rushed me to rinse out my foils only to leave me at the sink with the apprentice doing the shampoo bleach for probably an hour.

They also had the apprentice blowdry my hair even though I was charged for the consultant to do a style and finish.

The haircut is ok but nothing to rave about.

For $550 (my hair is chin length) I would expect my hair to be flawless and to walk out feeling like a million bucks and I just didn't. Very disappointing.

I hate leaving terrible reviews but I was and am still really upset after my experience here a few months ago. I was charged $160 for the hairdresser to spend 20 minutes not giving me the haircut I actually wanted. I went in there wanting to trust the stylist as they know best but I felt shut down for what I had in mind and in the end they didn’t change anything. It wasn’t a style it was just a cut, and barley that because it was a simple trim and wash in the end. Really upset that they would charge so much for something so minor. Or, why they would go ahead to put me with their “artisan stylist” who must cost that much and not tell me until it’s time to pay. Really bummed about the experience here and needing to go spend another $150 odd somewhere to do what I actually wanted in the first place. Sad this was bought out from ATS who had great service and prices. Unfortunately time to find another local salon.

I can’t speak highly enough of this salon. Cristina is the definition of perfection when it comes to haircutting. After a dodgy home self haircut, Cristina miraculously bought my hair back to life. Her skills and vision are exceptional. This is definitely my new go to salon. Thankyou to all the amazing staff at Flipped Hair, totally awesome
