Flavor Of India reviews
32Used to be my solid go-to place for a solid indian meal, unfortunately when the redecorated the restaurant they also redecorated the price list list up quite a bit, which i now bypass in favour of the Burmese cafe down the road.
Super friendly staff and amazing food. The place is mainly takeaway but i highly recommend eating in.the service is super quick. And the homemade mango ice-cream is amazing!
Had this for the first time tonight, hands down, without a doubt, the best Indian food I've ever tasted! Saw a car with their logo on the back, and that's when I decided to give it a try, what a great decision!
Ordered chilli chicken and other stuff, chilli chicken was worst even the recipe was not correct, they didn’t fry the chicken, they didn’t know how to cook Indian food.
Was stunned with the food quality, staff mannerism and punctality with service. Probably the best indian food spot in the town with authentic indian taste for and has lot to offer highly suggestible for friends, family or just a quick snack grabber. BEST CHCIKEN CURRIES I EVER HAD.
Decided to order takeaway from here last night. Well.since the last time I ordered (a few months ago), the price increase is excessive. Looking at the old menu that I ordered from and now comparing to the new price menu, on average, there was a $2.00 increase on all items. Adds up very quickly when ordering 2 x entrees, 3 x mains, 2 x large rice & 2 naan bread.
We used to get 10% take away discount. No discount of 10% applied. Now have to show this stupid "10% business card" to get it applied. $98.50 for take away for 3 people is unexceptionable. Previous total ordering before the same items was $68-75.
To make matters worst, our lamb dish, the meat was hot on the outside and cold in the middle - hence telling us it was a frozen meal reheated & not freshly prepared. Garlic Naan did not appear fresh either & cold.
Has lost our business as a local & will not be coming here again.
Hello, my dad came in last night and ordered me a butter chicken with rice and cheese & garlic naan bread.
There wasn't much chicken in there and it was chewy and didn't seem very well cooked. It was drowned in sauce.
I had food here years ago and I didn't have this issue.
I've eaten here years ago and it wasn't like this.
Had a takeaway order,
My worst experience of chilli chicken. Does that looks like a chiili chicken to anyone?
Would not recommend to anyone.
I eat a lot of Indian food and was eager to try this place as it’s close to my parents. I came in for takeaway and found the staff to be somewhat indifferent. My order was taken and it did take quite a while to be prepared which to me meant the food was going to be good. Alas, it was average. The Kadai Chicken was okay but a little bland. However the Lamb Saag was pretty good. Rice and roti accompanied the meal. The portion sizes of each dish was good. Place doesn’t look that appealing from the street but it’s okay inside. If dining it the place is wheelchair friendly. Good parking out the front.
Loved, loved the food. Service great too. Plated up my birthday cake and even had 'Happy Birthday' playing. Enjoyed it immensely.
My daughter loves Indian (Chicken Butter Cream) First visit to this restaurant. Looking to try somewhere new in our area. No one else seated inside. We were advised 2 curry minimum if eating in. We don’t eat that much, it would be wasted. Advised it is the managers rule. So decided to leave. It’s mid week and quiet!
Elsewhere there is never an issue to share a curry and rice with a naan each. Also have a drink each. We always eat in, its a treat. So they lost our business we went to our usual Indian.
The shop before was good Indian wave when that closed down we was thinking where would we get good curry from and flavour of India opened. The food here now is exceptional it is reasonable on price the staff are all friendly and it’s always service with a bit extra and a smile but more importantly the food is cooked to perfection.my advice is don’t judge a book by its cover the ship isn’t ultra modern but trust me try this place once and it will automatically become a big happy part of your weekly dinners I have tried 90percent of all menu and it is simply flavour of India done cooked to perfection.keep up the good work guys.support your local traders people and give these guys a try it will not disappoint. Regards Nathan O’Connell.
