Flanagan's reviews
58Try the grilled barramundi it was really good. The fish and chips were average. Overall, though, a decent lunch.
Booked for two people for a birthday lunch and they were out of two of their main meals, so the birthday girl couldn't get what she was hoping for.
I had the seafood basket. The sauce over the mussels was nice but it wasn't worth the $38. Even with the two of the main dishes not available they charged the 15% public holiday surcharge.
The customer service was exemplary. Nick took great care of us a group of 17 and 4 kids too. The cuisine was well presented and the taste left a lingering yearning to come back again. Commendation to the Chef and the team.
Don't go there for the food. I had lamb shank (along with 3 other people) and it was the smallest one I've ever seen, and the blandest.
Always a great meal no matter what time of day you rock up.
Staff are so friendly, service is great
A lovely place to eat with a good size dining area. I would highly recommend the Guiness Pie. Food was very good and was served in a timely manner. The staff were very nice and made you feel welcome.
Called in for lunch on a whim as we were driving past and so glad that we did. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back
All the staff here were so welcoming and friendly, and the food was really good! Nice quiet atmosphere at the time we got there, highly recommended ️
I have been going to Flanagan’s almost every Sunday for over 10 years and order the garlic prawns. I think they have a new chef because they have changed recipe and it’s not that great anymore unfortunately.
Large pub that appears pretty popular. Guinness pie and a Guinness is pretty hard to beat, especially when weather is warm enough to allow outdoor dining.
The pie was tasty with plenty of meat, chunky enough to satisfy the chew. No excess fillers (carrot, celery etc) either, just basically meat and gravy topped with the flaky pastry lid.
Great place for a feed, was there last night, had a few cold Kilkennys and a Guiness pie or 2, which was 10/10. All the other food we have was good also. If I was to say anything bad about the place would possibly be the time it took the food come out. But that's the only thing negative I could say and still deserves the 5 stars as it wasnt too bad. Staff were friendly and nice. Place was well heated as yesterday was a bit chilly. Great environment, Great location, Great place all in all ;) 100% be going back
We walked into Flanagan's for lunch after visiting the Avenue of Honour in Bacchus Marsh.
The people at the counter and the serving staff were very friendly, polite and professional in their interactions with us.
We ordered Beer, and Lemon, Lime n' Bitters for drinks.
We had Garlic Prawns, Brisket Burgher, Steak Sandwich (with and without bacon), and Golden Chicken Strips for mains.
For dessert, we had the Crème Brûlée and the Sticky Date Pudding.
The serving portions are quite big and cooked to perfection.
They have a good collection of Irish food and drinks, which should be tried.
We sat outside as it was a very pleasant day, at wooden tables that were reminiscent of pubs in Europe. The music ranged from pop to rock from the 90s, which suited us quite well.
A really nice place to have lunch or dinner in because of the food, ambience and exceptional service.
Great food and service. The lamb shanks were fantastic and the burgers and fish and chips also excellent.everything was house made, which stands out from the usual pre frozen rubbish many restaurants are serving.
This place is a sleeper. Spot on pub food, friendly and efficient staff, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Get up to some shenanigans at Flanagan's. Great pub meals. Ice cold beer and a great street frontage to watch the wildlife go past.
Really nice place. Seafood platter very nice. Guiness pie also very nice. Cold beer, good music.
Overpriced meals and extremely small portions also $10 sub charge for Public holiday fee it’s an exaggeration (they don’t tell you till I already paid) $45 for a tiny steak it’s a total joke. I would not recommend this place it’s a waste of money
Best food and amazing taste with good service and gentleman behind the bar new the food very well
Nice to sit outside. Good atmosphere. The food was nice but the chef needs to have quality control prior to sending the food out. The seafood platter was served without the taste and zero lemon wedges. When we asked, the waitress brought 1 lemon wedge in her hand! And then the tartre was brought out looking sad and dated.
Great place, caters to most. The food is great, bring a big appetite though. I haven't finished a meal yet. Staff are friendly. Weekends get a bit wild from what I hear but haven't experienced it myself
