How does one describe adequately this highly skilled compassionate surgeon Mr BARMARE. When I fell and broke both legs he explained that an accident is simply that…an accident…. Self blame not needed. He worked with an excellent team on Good Friday for a solid eight plus hours doing both legs. At a later date did the complex procedure of re doing the right leg because of an infection.
So very patient with this patient.
He constantly checked and consulted with other doctors and associates about my case. I had had open heart surgery in 2019. He showed outstanding medical knowledge, kindness and and genuine care during my months in hospital. Thanks to him after months of healing, excellent care in Epworth Hospital then Rehab I have the miracle of walking again. Slowly using a frame at this stage. I thought I would be crippled but am exceptionally grateful for the skilled care he gave to me whereby I can walk again. Yes how can one sufficiently describe his expertise, care and compassion. Except to say THANK YOU.

Dr Arshad Barmare performed Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement Surgery for my Dad who is 70 years old and we couldn't be happier with the results. The shoulder bone had broken into more than 7 pieces and the surgery (performed in Aug 2023) was complex given my dad's age and the condition of multiple fractures. Dr Bharmare, who is an experienced surgeon took no time in ordering customized implants after explaining us the entire procedure and obtaining our consent. His team (especially Dr Yusuf) was also very supportive and compassionate. Dr Barmare ensured that my dad was well informed of all information at every stage i.e. Pre and post surgery. He experienced very little pain or discomfort during the recovery period. Since the surgery, my dad has been gradually able to lift his arm straight at 180 degrees in a period of about 3-4 months. We are grateful to Dr. Barmare for his skillful and compassionate care. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Barmare to anyone in need of a shoulder replacement surgery. His professionalism, expertise, and personalized care are truly exceptional. Thank you, Dr. Barmare, for giving back mobility and quality of life to my Dad! "

If your going to have a hamstring repair with MR Arshad BARMARE do ensure that your butt is fully covered. Ask all the questions you need to before making your final personal & professional decisions.

Mr B specifically recommended that l do not weight bare for 6/8 weeks and during this time l would remain in a rehabilitation hospital. I am unsure whether all this time was relevant however given my solo situation and the complexities of post surgery l think l had little choice.

Once l was operated l remained in hospital for 5 days and then transported to rehabilitation where l remained there for a following 10 days. I recall at the time feeling very unwell, feverish with high temperatures.

Because my circumstances were INSURANCE related l so needed a covering letter to support my ongoing stay in rehab, Arshad did not provide this letter and at the same l was clueless as to why l happened to be in this horrible situation. I was up in the air. Anyhow upon arriving back home l felt unwell, feverish and like l had been slaughtered, my mobility was limited and poor.

Within the two weeks l was back in the same hospital with the same surgeon where l eventually had another two other surgeons and finally a plastics surgeon, four in total and a further 10 operations in over 14 & 1/2 mths.

All this occurred due to a number of chronic and lethal infections. I was on intravenous for 6 mths and then a bucket load of powerful antibiotics for almost 12 mths.
I also had VAC ASSISTED THERAPY for an entire 9 and a bit mths and then in home nursing for some 7/8 mths.
Today is now over 4 yrs and l am finally beginning to see some light. Last but not least l now have other physical medical issues complicated by all the above and l continue to see other specialists. I will also require other medical intervention in the near future, this time not my leg however all injury related.
Phew
