Excellent gym and well worth the cost, I look forward to every workout here. Friendly staff, lots of equipment and all under a big open space - what more could a gym junkie ask for?

Love this gym! So much equipment and space so you can do you’re own thing and rarely have to wait. Also great group exercise facilities if that’s your thing

The best fitness first in Melbourne in my opinion. They even have massage guns charged and ready for use. The staff are friendly and helpful and the gym is always clean. It does get busy around peek hours however not as bad as any of the others.

Difficult to find, especially on foot early in the morning - you have to walk through the car park and take a right through the doors. Worth it when you get in. Group fitness okay also, though felt a bit rushed.

Unfair! After cancellation of the membership still charging card for WEEKS even promised not to do so, ignoring any further communication.

Since living in Richmond and having a good gym near by is great.
Fitness First gym will always be a good place because it is nice and big plenty of space to train.
Looking around the gym, there are members working out for the same reasons.
The atmosphere is good but always keep improving it.
Customer service is okay but can be better.
The staff are great people and very helpful.
The personal trainers are great and treat their clients well.
Overall it is a great gym and happy to be a long term member.

Great range of equipment, always very clean and in good condition, they regularly add new cool machines.

Quite disappointed about the service of Fitness First after I have used their gyms in different locations so far.
During my stay in Australia I signed up for a membership agreement with a minimum term of 1 month. Before I returned to Europe, I tried to cancel my membership directly at the gym, which was refused and was advised to write a message by email. After I have sent the first message on 27 Jan 2023 and a second message on 26 Feb 2023 I still have not received any response and the weekly fees are still being debited. At the gym, nobody answers the phone calls.

Fix the air-conditioning! Gym not fit for purpose!

Many members unhappy.

Multiple staff members admitted that air-conditioning needs fixing but management simply won't do it. Please spend the money and protect your "valued" members.

It might be good gym however, very dishonest management. Eventhough my membership finished and i have been denied access to the gym the management continued to charge me even more than what I used to pay. EXTREMELY DISHONEST

One of the most well stocked in terms of equipment and spacious fitness firsts in the region. Well deserving of the platinum ranking. Staff are very welcoming, and the zoltan’s hot yoga classes are fantastic.

Since I moved from St kilda to Richmond 2014 I have seen many changes of staff and personal too.
Now what I will say is I feel everybody that works in Fitness First are always trying to help and get new members which is great too see.
My experience being a long term members of Fitness First is always watching how the people work go about their experience in a gym.
Over the years I have some great personal trainer help myself with my goals and love every minute of working with them.
It is also great working on my own as well and achieving my goals.
What I would like to see is continue good customer service and continue to work on on that as well because it is a great place and very happy being a long term and loyal member.for 18 years now and still love coming and working on my fitness and mental health too.
Fitness First will always be a great place for myself because love coming in and training hard on my goals and will continue to do so.
The other thing I like is all the members training respect each other because everybody is there for a purpose which is great.
Just continue to run a great service and make sure you guys keep up good customer service and vibes because you are running a great business which I love being a member.
Fitness First over the years have had people come and go, but the staff that are working there now are good and always trying to improve on things they need to focus on which is customer service to the members when they walk in for a workout.
My time in the gym is always focusing on my improvements I am making with my mental health and weight loss and the staff have always been good too myself and just love being in this great facility and it is one of my good places to come and workout

Service is great, it’s just a very old gym.

Equipment needs to be updated, everything is super old and rusted.
The spin bikes in particular are very old, they don’t have dials so you have no idea what resistance you’re on. They’re also super rusted, you can hear the metal squeaking and scratching when you’re on the bikes.
Have injured myself a few times on the bikes because they’re so old they don’t lock onto cleats and you slip out.
For some reason they’ve moved the spin classes into the Pilates studio, which isn’t good. Even the instructors complain.
The treadmills are similar and many seem to always be out of service.

This is a great fitness club! It's got everything you need, tonnes of space, and fantastic facilities. You may pay a bit more than the 24/7 gyms but it's totally worth it.

Great staff but air con doesn't work at 37 degrees must better than the city fitness first

As someone who has been apart of the fitness industry for years this is to date the worst experience I've ever had with a gym. I have become a member temporarily with my move in Melbourne at the beginning of the year with full intention to cancel before my contract ended I was more than aware I would have to pay for the extra months I wouldn't be a member for. My first attempt to cancel was over a month ago which wasn't escalated like it was said ti would be so they have continued to take out my membership which I thought was for the months notice. However, upon a follow up call since no one checks their emails there or bothers to reply to them I have since learnt that no one actually processed my cancelation request. She was lovely and said don't worry I'll get the club manager to email the payment link today to get it sorted and apologised. Have I received this email yet? No. I wouldn't recommend this gym if you don't intend on becoming a life member since no one wants to help cancel your membership.

Absolutely amazing Gym! I visited this branch for the first time today, the front desk attendant Marina served me and gave me the tour around the entire gym. There is plenty of space and equipment for all users! Marina was very patient and answered all my questions for 30 minutes. I couldn’t resist the hospitality & the friendly staff working in there! The services provided for the weekly rate is definitely worth it!

I will definitely recommend this gym to anyone who’s willing to work out soon. The staff are very friendly and approachable, and the fitness trainers are highly qualified!

Great location, friendly staff, big gym with lots of equipment. It does get busy in the morning around 6am, but you should still get equipment you want without waiting or waiting too long. This is a platinum gym and has the option for 24 hour access.
