Fishos Torquay

Excellent variety of fish meals here, with chips, salad, tacos, poke bowl… and more! There is a sea view from the garden and the service is quick friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend if you are in Torquay or even Geelong!

Amasing fresh delicious seafood. Sharing platters to feed the hordes. These 2 platters feed 10 people, and there were leftovers. Great seafood across from the surf coast, sharing with family, what else do you need are a lovely day out. Thank you Fishos

This place was a five and then you add in the host to take it the next level, not coz they gave us a all the attention but the right amount even being able to deliver that two of out favs had already been snapped up.

Came to eat per a recommendation from a friend. An excellent choice for fish n chips and other seafood while passing through Torquay. Fun menu, many options, great sides, and friendly professional service. I'd love to come again.

Absolutely delicious food and lovely staff. Came for take-away although sitting down for a meal would have been lovely, a great spot with beach views. Got the fish of the day and chips along with the fish tacos, food was super fresh, had great flavours and was really good portions. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!

No idea what’s happened to this place - unfortunately, since late last year, we noticed the quality of food and portions has declined.

Today we just got turned away (along with two other separate couples) at 2: 30pm on a 32 deg Saturday, being told the “kitchen was closed because it was a slow day. ” (Adjacent cafes busy and people still dining inside).

Unfortunately we can’t go out of our way to support this business anymore.

Unreal fish and chips absolutely brilliant. Recommend a lot going for the specials too had the kingfish wing and it was incredible. Great hosting lovely peeps

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. A bit scant on the chip portion considering the price but I could forgive because the fish was that good.

Initially good service, until I ordered. I ordered our meal and after 45 min of waiting they missed my meal. I told her that I was very clear with my order and the lady at the counter repeated the order and it was correct. Unfortunately my meal didn't come and they told me it wasn't on the order. When I expressed my disappointment. She then turned rude and told me I'm busy and not going to argue, while holding the eftpos machine to charge me extra. By then my whole family ate and I said don't bother. I understand people make mistakes but as a paying customer you should fix it rather than complaining you're busy. Poor service came out starving.

If you’re trying to decide where to eat! And keen on some solid seafood, You MUST try this place. Luke and the team were very welcoming, told us well in advance the food might take time (considering it was a busy Saturday, this was expected) — but boy, was the wait worth it. The scallops were amazing, the char grilled octopus and fennel, mind blowing and the fish and chips were spectacular. Washed it all down with some craft coconut water, perfect after a good day at the beach. Highly recommend, good food, great hospitality, underrated for sure!

Lovely cafe located in Torquay.

We visited during the lunchtime rush and had to wait a while to be seated but the staff were lovely and very accommodating.

We ordered a cosy corner between three of us. This came with gummy shark and fried squid, homecut fries and we opted for broccoli salad. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed it. The cosy corner was $84 but when split between three of us it was quite cost reasonable.

Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Love it here, has a great atmosphere, sitting outside facing the ocean, we enjoyed fish tacos & sweetpotaro potato cakes, to die for!

The food is really fresh. One of the best lunch I've had on the drive along great ocean road.

Beautiful spot looking out onto the ocean, but there are a couple of those cafes/restaurants on the same street. Fishos has beautiful food, fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff. Had the poke bowl with kingfish and it was phenomenal. Would love to be back as soon as I can, but until then, give it a try for me!

Very tasty and fresh seafood. Service staff were also very friendly the few times we were there. Recommend getting the fish and chips as well as the poke bowl.

I had the fish chips (gummy shark). Overall the fish was fresh and cooked well. The accompanying salad a nice contrast to the fried fillet. However the singular fillet was small and had to pay extra for a tiny tub of tartare sauce, no chips included (that was extra to if I wanted it). Overall the whole meal felt overpriced. Would probably not visit again and more likely drop into the local fish and chip shop.
