I recently had the pleasure of visiting Fishworld Aquarium, and I can confidently say that it is a true aquatic haven for all fish enthusiasts! From the moment I stepped into the store, I was greeted by a visually stunning display of vibrant fish tanks and an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff.

The first thing that caught my attention was the impeccable cleanliness and organisation of the shop. Every tank was crystal clear, the water quality was top-notch, and the fish appeared healthy and vibrant. You can’t go past Andy and Lyn’s wealth of knowledge and dedication to running an amazing aquarium not to mention going the extra mile to help us beat various diseases we’ve encountered in the past 12mths. Andy and the team are always friendly and happy to answer any questions. I drive across town to come and see what’s new, as there is always a fantastic variety on hand. All livestock I’ve purchased from here has always acclimated nicely to my tank and each one has been happy and healthy.

Brilliant Service and Advice at the Right Price.

Andy and Leanne @Fish World Aquarium offered great advice and a quick solution to a challenge I had with an ophan RODI system that I owned.

Orphaned due to the fact that the online company I bought the seemingly unbranded 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis 50GPD + DI, Micro Computer Controlled TDS system from was no longer in business.

After a number of failed attempts to acquire the replacement cartridges from known water filter companies, a visit to the Andy at Fish World Aquarium had me sorted with branded replacements for 4 out of the 5 cartridges. The final stage being a T/33 coconut carbon filter of which Andy helped to point me in the right direction to procure them online.

Would not recommend going here at all! We had a beautiful tank full of fish we go here and get 4 fish! And within 3 days we wake up and all our fish are dead! The fish we bought from here infested our tank with ick! Unless you want to have an ick infested tank i wouldn’t go here save yourself time and money.

It’s rare in this day and age where you can experience dealing with a company that is so passionate about what they are doing, yet still offer a service that is in the customers best interest! I came to fish world to get some ideas, now I will go No where else! Andy and Leanne are amazing! Best Aquarium in Melbourne by a long way!

A bit out of my way but definitely worth the drive. Wanted to see in person and had no plans to buy anything. However with the great customer service and prices I couldn't leave empty handed. If you need livestock or equipment for your aquarium, definitely visit!

Bought my gorgeous angel and 2 x cory's here and they are absolutely thriving, fantastic fish and so healthy. I also got some guppys which lasted a while too but guppys don't like me

Freshwater fish and plant collection is rather limited. Quite a few driftwoods but almost no rocks. But the saltwater collection is great. I love how all the tanks are extremely clean, fish all swim happily. I also really really like how each species is clearly labelled with their ideal water conditions like PH, KH, etc. This is super helpful and I'm surprised none other stores do the same. Oh and the staff made me feel very welcome.

I’ve been coming here for several months and put a lot of trust and confidence into the staff that work here. Last week I bought a fish under the presumption that fish world would not sell me a very ill fish to which I quickly discovered they do not care about the quality or wellness of their live stock and just want them sold as soon as they hit the shelves. Shortly after bringing my fish home I noticed quite a large brown spot, which I assumed was merely a skin abrasion, however, by morning it had spread to its entire body and I woke up to find it dead. This mark on its side was very noticeable and should have been detected by the so called professionals before it was ready to be sold. Needless to say, I am very disappointed as I wasted money and my time.

The way this store works is they get their fish shipment on Thursday after hours, chuck them in tanks without proper procedure or medication that would ensure their safety and survival, and it’s just enough time to sell them first thing Friday morning before any problems become too noticeable by the unsuspecting buyer. Do better fish world. Absolutely cruel and disgusting. Shouldn’t be able to sell any animals

Fish world is my number one go to LFS. Andy, Leanne and Zach are all amazing and have unlimited knowledge on everything. Always so friendly and helpful and willing to take the time to help you with anything that you need even if it’s just advice. Also gave me an awesome deal on this cade and all the accessories I bought with it that no where else could have offered. Seriously can’t recommend them highly enough!

Seriously, first time I’ve been here and I will be back, it’s now my go-to spot. There display tanks are STUNNING! Everything was so well taken care of! I could spend hours in there looking at all the tanks! Not only did all of the staff greet us when we got there, everyone was so nice the whole time we were inside too! I felt so welcomed in the store! Helped us pack up our clowns in a box to help the get home safely from the four hour journey! Not only that, they checked in with me about my tank, asked me some questions! Everyone was so lovely, I can’t wait to visit again! Not only that, my clowns are so beautiful and happy and loving their new home! 100/10

Went into Fishworld for the first time looking for help for starting a saltwater tank. Andy and his team were amazing and full of knowledge, I have had the most amazing results with my tank. It is now my go to aquarium and visit weekly! I could not speak more highly of this teams customer service and product/fish knowledge.

Would honestly have to be one if the best fish stores within the state, the owner goes above and beyond with helping and satisfying customers. Brought a salt water fish tank and with the help of the amazing team they helped me organise everything that I needed for it and helped me with the coral rocks designs and so on but even then that's not all when it came to putting it all together I was having some trouble but the owner was more then happy to help me and my father put it together on the Sunday from over Facebook which ngl is really really unbelievably good customer service for as Sundays are his days off and with an hour or 2 it was put together and running as for the skimmer the owner was more then happy to explain and show us how it worked within store. Couldn't be happier and honestly I'd rate this establishment an easy 10/10, they go above and beyond making sure all customers are satisfied

From the first time we walked in, Andy was there, helpful, knowledgeable and super friendly. Every time I’ve stopped by or called or asked for any sort of assistance with an issue we are having, Andy went out of his way to assist and offer the best advise. We really appreciate the service Andy, his wife and staff have provided. We cannot wait to purchase some of the amazing stock they have in store once we are able to.

The team at FWA and the store as a whole is brilliant. Everyone is always willing to help and they have the best assortment of both freshwater and marine fish I’ve come across. Can’t recommend these guys enough.
