Fish is nice, little dry but nice. Light crispy batter. Tartare sauce is okay not the best, taste basically just like mayonnaise, chips could be better, they’re the type of chips you don’t really care about finishing. Calamari rings are good.decent fish and chips but I’m sure there is better places. 3/5 stars!
Quality of produce is fantastic, service very old school. Classic Dad vibe energy, but brings character to the shop itself. Perfect for takeaway, sitting in not the comfiest but food is too good not to let it slip
This I can say is the best restaurant for seafoods that I have been to here in Melbourne. Their fish was superb and their salad was great too! Very good customer service. We will definitely come back. Super duper highly recommended
We decided to have our first 'Toorak' lunch experience here because of the reviews and other recommendations.
Unfortunately the food (couple's plate) was rather overcooked and very oily - I even received a little geyser of oil across the plate when my fork pressed the fish. The Dim Sim was inedible (very over fried), giving ye olde chiko rolls a run for their money & the potato cake (aka scallop) could have been anything.
This is my regular Friday night dinner. Consistently fantastic in food quality & customer service. So glad it’s just right down the road from me ️

How anyone could give this place anything but 5 stars is beyond me, really!
Don’t be fooled by the Toorak address either. This place combines the best of old-school 1970s expertise (read, the best handmade potato cakes I’ve ever had) with all the modern versions of seafood you want cooked for you.
Try the handmade potato cakes - they’ll take you back in time!

Just great fish and chips - and salads too. I can taste the quality of the ingredients and the oil. I'm new to the area and Fish and Grill have delivered each time and been so welcoming, looking forward to coming back and back and back, thank you.
When we moved to the area we were worried whether we would have a good local F&C shop. Turns out we weren’t disappointed. Fish n Grill has delicious food and friendly service. Happy with our new local
I tried this place for the first time recently. One word to sum up the food is Heavenly! I could not flaw anything! The food was delectable and it even came with both lemon AND tartare sauce (with tartare sauce being presented well on a shell). The shop itself is so clean and the service was really good! I normally go to Hunky Dory, but this place has really showed them up, and I will be back!
Friendly staff, nice fresh fish and really delicious chips. Large servings too. My weekly regular. Highly recommend.
