First Choice Liquor Market Waurn Ponds

NGL, I walked in with a trolley expecting to buy a slab of something. I don't like CUB beer, it's watery 4% trash IMHO. Felt like maybe Oettinger or yknow something like that. Paulaner. $126. Haha that is wild. Asahi was 2 x $100. Seventeen other exie examples. I walked out with my empty trolley and parked it back out front. I had no engagement with staff. This review is just about stock and prices.

This is a very good place to shop for any type of alcohol, very friendly and knowledgeable staff to lend a hand, I was able to buy 6 bottles in a box for less than buying two or three bottles. I have bought a few things from here and they take flybuys too.

Great store, user friendly, well set out with room to move to appraise the wide range of selections.

This was my first order through them, I believe that Dan Murphys is way ahead of them
I believe that the purchase, the online process and collect isn't as smooth as it could be. My beer was also warm, I don't recall seeing anything that said cold preferred. I am on the fence at the moment in relation to using them again.

It was our first time visiting First Choice and we will certainly return.
It is a very well stocked and set up store with helpful staff.
We picked up some really good wine deals with good prices and range.
Obviously set up to compete with Uncle Dan's which it certainly does!

Ordered online for click and collect. Purchases showed "In Stock" however after not receiving a text advising me that my order was ready, I rang the store only to be advised there was in fact no stock of some of my items. I then rang the 1800 number to advise "First Choice" that they couldn't fill my order and can I please cancel it. Disappointed I had to do all the chasing on this order and that I have to wait up to 3 days for a refund ($250 of xmass shopping money that I will not have)

The staff are so friendly here and very attentive to all your needs. Patient while you pick your beverages. Will definitely be back!
Hopefully the establishment will stock moonshine soon!

Very Rude Staff member, Sherryl? Price Match, Lol? Obviusly not with Pre Mix King, tells me they dont do it, but had matched the deal multiple times. She is slow, rude, argumentive and un accommodating. Moral of story, Go to Pre Mix King, A lot cheaper!

Visited here to pick out some special Xmas presents. I approached one of the friendly & helpful staff who was more than happy to guide me through the Shiraz collections that I know nothing about Picked out a couple of beauties that really nailed the brief! Thanks First Liquor

Great liquor store, has everything you could want. Booze heaven in Geelong. Except their pricing labels could be clearer, it's really hard to see what prices are, especially for craft beer and spirits.

Edit two years later and still ordinary customer service where do you get your staff from?
Zero friendliness, zero help, lol

The large set woman with the glasses and long hair who I assume was a manager, was unprofessional and rude. To begin with she yells "next" before the other customer even walks away. Then she proceeds to ignore me when I ask how her day was, after which, she just yells at the other female staff member in there to clear the area. As if this wasn't enough she's even more ruder when serving me and was very patronising. Although the range is of alcohol is good, the service was hurrendous. Really wanted to go back and ask her why she is so damn rude. Probably wont go back unless I am desperate

The staff are on a power trip. They will not sell bags of ice without demanding to see ID. When questioned why ID is necessary to purchase literal water, they were smug and rude. This has happened with multiple staff.

This place has always a wide variety of drinks, and always the right stuff om special. And also friendly customer service.

First Choice Liquor is a huge store with a massive selection of beer, wine and spirits. There is a large selection of drinks in the cool room and on the refrigerated shelving, which allows you to drink your purchase without waiting for it to cool to the right temperature first. This company is part of the coles group, which allows you to use flybys.

Bought a lit of booze for a wedding recently and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Great returns policy too. Will definitely be returning for any order large or small.

Excellent customer service and fantastic range of products at very competitive prices. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Good alternative to Dan Murphy's. Nice friendly staff store appears clean and less cluttered than its competitors.
