Will never go back this used to be a good fish shop i had it today since new owners and to say it was horrible is an understatement the i wanted grilled fish until i seen it all been pre cooked on the grill so i had fryed instead it was un eatable it was so dry and hard and my beef croquettes were burnt dont waste your money people go somewere else

Food is good. Not happy to see that the new owners have now added a surcharge for using efpos at a time when we are being discouraged from using cash in many stores.

Quick and easy order, food slightly over cooked didn't taste any seasoning although requested

Our go-to fish and chip shop. Absolutely awesome food. Always fresh and price is really good. Attached to Noodle Plus so you have more choices too if you have a fussy family!

The food is ok. But lately have noticed a really strong smell to the food not fishy
It's really quite strong and makes me feel a bit ill

They just changed their fish cake recipe by adding corn. That was not a good idea. Their fish cakes and chips were one of my favourite treats.

UPDATE - went back after 6 months. Definitely never coming back. Everything was dry and old. Grey fish, old soggy chips. Definitely still one star. Don’t waste your time eating here

6 months earlier - Used to be a good fish and chip shop but it’s awful now with new owners. 3rd time in a row we’ve had a ONE STAR meal. Going to need to find a new place

Food was ready as l walked in the door from phoning in order.everything was cooked perfectly and extra salt just topped it off nicely.home made dimmies were good.

This is the worst tasting food I have ever had from this fish and chip shop. The fish was so old it was dry and grey, the chips taste like dirt from the ground, and the potatoe cakes are so thin that you are just eating batter. Never again will I be ordering from fins and fries. I also ordered the Udon satay beef noodles and asked if they could not put as much chilli in the dish, the reply was "we can't do that", I guess it's because it's not made fresh or comes out of a container. Thumbs down big time for this takeaway shop.

Fish n chips are good, nothing overly greasy and good burgers, very fast even on a big order. Noodle place goes hard aswel good prices for everything.
They never get my name rite other than that perfect across the board as far as fish n chips go.

*BEWARE* Been buying here at Fins & Fries for 25+ years, New owners have taken this place to an all time low. Food is terrible and cooked to a very poor standard, sometimes uneatable. So have given them a chance but no more. And if you tap and go.check the price to the menu prices.l was charged $28.10 for meals that should have cost $24.50 according to there menu. NOT HAPPY.

I’ve been going here for as long as I can remember. New owners now and it has gone downhill fast I gave them 3 tries and still no good and to top it off a fish & chip shop that doesn’t sell pickled onions just isn’t a fish & chip shop…

Bit into my flake last night which tasted like a mouthful of chemical then realised it reeked of ammonia. Took it straight back and the owner seemed reluctant to refund, then wanted to haggle about one of the flake I didn't bring back - kids had eaten some of it and thrown the rest in the bin. Sad that the new owners have dropped the ball, was looking past the small changes in quality the last few times I've come here but this time it was unacceptable. Thinking about it, I've just realised I've been a customer here for almost 20 years! Anyway, felt compelled to warn others incase of food poisoning. Thankfully we are all ok this morning. Will not be coming back.

I used to go to Fins&Fries all the time the food was great, I went Friday just gone only to realise what food poisoning is like, the grilled Blue Grenadier was cold and disgusting, the scallops well I think they were, were tasteless and the batter fell off due to being cold and wet, the chips must have been cooked in engine oil soggy and cold I will never go there again

Great service, great selection of food. Very fast cooking time and is always great tasting. Not oily that's what we love about this place.

Love the food, and way cheaper than Mc and fried chicken, and I think it is way healthier as well.

Worst fish i have ever had, very tiny and very dry, chips potatoe cakes pretty average, spring roll, more like over cooked roll, won't recommend too anyone

Been coming here for over 15 years and always great fish and chips. Also delicious burgers and souvlakis. Tried elsewhere to try somewhere different but always keep coming back. Great family run business
