Fingal Picnic Area reviews
18Beautiful tall old trees and Nature around the picnic area it’s quiet and you hear the beautiful Australia birds while being surrounded by nature
Fingal is the quintessential mix of woods, foreshore scrub, and ocean views. You drive up the long access road to the well-equipped picnic area to park. Then it's a short walk back to the steps to the track to take you to the cliff top, where magnificent views are presented at myriad vantage spots along the walk. Well worth the rrip, and you come back to the picnic area for a repast. Suitable for all ages.
A quiet and peaceful picnic area with plenty of tables and a clean toilet! It was also really close to the beach and lookouts, a nice resting place for couples and families.
Hidden away, great walk from picnic area to the beach. Great lookouts along the way. Make sure you have your weet Bix - it's not a casual stroll. Lots of wildlife.
Very nice picnic area. Shady areas among tall trees. BBQ and restroom facilities. Many tables and ample car parking.
Some excellent walks start from there. You can go to fingal beach and then can further go on to Gunamatta beach and back via the inland track totalling 9km in length. Another option is to walk to Cape Schnack and back.
A very good place to have a picnic and explore local areas.
Pine tree forest that looks like a movie set, very beautiful place. Toilets and bbq’s available
Nice walk to Cape Shanak if you want. 2.8km one way or just cook bbq and rest in beautiful enviroment.
It’s a great place for family to relax and have picnic after beaches at Mornington peninsula. Very close to Cape Shanck.
Nice secluded rocky beach. Bit of a steep walk from car park to beach. Not ideal for young kids because not much sand there, however, perfect for scuba diving and fishing.
A very nice area to have a picnic. Even when it's a very hot day, the tall trees will protect you. Give you a nice shelter.
Great spot. Lovely and cool under the pines for a picnic lunch. A nice change walking the Cape Schank trail in the sunshine.
Amazing place but has only 1 BBQ area. However, there are other near by parks. Has a playing area near BBQ. Well maintained
Nice spot to stop for lunch or similar if you've just visited the lighthouse down the road for a coastal walk
Wooded picnic area with lots of tables and chairs. Ignore first car park, the better spots are further in. Has a few trail walks from here too, though they are a bit long (Fingal Beach walk is 3km return and hilly)
Love coming for Coastal walks here! A beautiful area to explore and walk to Cape Schanck Light House.
Hidden gem, very close to Cape Schank lighthouse. Plenty of benches and open space for families to enjoy. The tall Pine trees around gives it feel of redwood forest. There is BBQ area and toilets. Plenty of car parking available too.
Delightful spot for a quick bite or to relax under trees.
Was very clean and beautifully set out, with enough benches, an accessible water tap, and a covered barbecue - very helpful for our small picnic in the rain!
I would give this place an extra star but the bbq was not hot enough and it took us 2 hours to cook 2kg of meat. A nice area with ckean toilets.
